Chapter 17

Brooklyn's pov

Well it's been a week until tomorrow since Vanessa broke up with me...

And I'm sitting alone without Vanessa next me. kissing me on the cheek before she'd go

I feel stupid.

Really stupid

"Hey single man" my friend Robert said

"Leave me alone" I said

"Woah someone's not happy" he said sitting down next to me

"How can I be happy? Vanessa broke up with me last week cause of something stupid I did" I said stabbing my meat softly as my fist holds my face

"Woah mate your head over heals" he said

"And she's my sisters best friend. what makes it more awkward" I said

"Ok mate" he said, "since today is the last day of school, cause you know the holidays (aka summer break), why don't i throw a party tomorrow and I'll invite Vanessa so you can do your magic and get back together with Vanessa"

"How's that going to work, she won't even talk to me" I said standing up to throw away my food

"Now here's the plan, we can put her in a room where your at and you can talk" he said

"Ok" I said as the bell rang

"See you mate" me and him did a hand shake

I step into class to see Vanessa and Mack there. why were they here? this is an upper class

I took a seat in the middle row and to see Mack gave me a wave, a small one, and I waved back to her and Vanessa. But Vanessa just half smiled. she's hurt that bad....

I look down and started to fiddle my fingers

Soon everybody entered the room (well the people who were in my 5th period class)

"Well class we have Mackenzie Beckham and Vanessa Ronaldo, to give an important announcement to make" my teacher mrs. Fitz said

"Okay 9th y-year" Vanessa stuttered, "they'll be a f-fundraiser for kids w-who can't-t"

"Vanessa are you ok?" Mack whispered to her and she nodded her head no. she told Mack something and walked out

I stand up, and everybody's eyes were on me.

"Mr. Beckham sit down or do you have something nice to say?" Mrs. Fitz said

"Please let me just talk to her, ma'am" I said

"Fine, go" she said and I walked out

I tried to look for Vanessa and I see her outside of the school steps sitting there. I opened the doors and sat next to her

"Vanessa?" I said quietly

"What do you want Brooklyn?" she said as a tear ran down her face

"A second chance" I said

"Why would I do that? Not knowing you'll do something stupid like last week" she said

"I know, I wasn't thinking" I said

"Brooklyn, you never think" she said fiddling with her fingers, I notice that a lot when I'm around her

"I know I don't, but if you give me a second chance I won't think of me, I'll think of you" I said, "cause Vanessa that's all been in my mind, it's you. I don't care if you hate me, I love you and that's never going to change"

"I don't- wait did you just say you love me?" she said

"Yes and I'm proud to say it" I said

"I love you too" she said

"Will you please give me a second chance? To forget what I did and leave it behind and start a new chapter?" I asked

"Yes. I will give you a second chance" she said

"Really?" I asked standing up

"Yes" she said standing up as well but jumping off the steps so she can get closer

"May I kiss you?" I asked

"You may" she said and pulled her waist closer to me and kissed her

This was the best feeling I could have ever gotten in my life

We stopped after 10 seconds and went back holding hands

Just the way I wanted it to be

With my girl.

Vanessa's pov

Crazy how it all started with my best friends brother
