My life can't get any worse. I feel like dirt. I feel useless like I'm not meant to be alive. I feel dead. I'm a walking dead. Like the show. Ha ha. Never mind
Jason handed me my keys in the hall way as Stacey watched. I pray she doesn't think anything about it. She'd kill me if she did. I'm just glad Jason actually let me go. And Ayo, what was up with him? He didn't have to care but he did. Ugh. Why is life so uncomplicated-ly complicated?
Immediately I get home I take a well needed nap and wake up an hour later. I lay on my bed , my phone beside me. The need to talk to someone courses through me so I grab my phone to call my best friend but I receive her call before I can call her.
"Hey Pipes."
"Hazel! Omg are you okay like really. Lord help me I'm going to teach that slimy fucked up bitch a le-"
"Woah woah woah. Calm down. Breathe. What're you going on about?"
"I heard about what Stacey did to you, actually I heard that her and her followers ganged up on you in the restroom. What happened? Are you okay? Is everything alright? Did she hurt you?"
"Oh. Piper I'm fine. I have a tough skin remember. Besides I'm not hurt so don't worry about it and how exactly did you find out?" I ask curiously.
"Kamsey said she was about to go into the restroom and heard part of what happened but I made her promise not to tell anyone. I wish I could be there." She says sadly.
"Hey. Don't worry about it. I'm okay. Stop stressing." I try to ease her. I know she loves me and doesn't like the thought of me in trouble.
"Just don't listen to whatever she says."
"Yes ma'am." I say jokingly even though Stacey's words hunt me.
"Alright then. What's up with you?"
"Same old same old."
I hear someone calling her name in the background .
"Babe I gotta go. Coach is calling. Love you."
"Bye." I say as I cut the call.
Piper plays basketball and she is really good.
I go downstairs to get something to eat when I hear the door open. I move to check the front doors to find my mum removing her shoes.
"Mum welcome back." I say putting on a smile so she doesn't see the stress of today's event on my face.
"Hazel, thanks darling." She smiles. I notice the bags under her eyes. She works too hard.
I grab her bag and place it on the living room chair and head to the kitchen to cook for both of us.
Yes,I'm a pretty awesome cook when I want to be.
I prepare dinner and enjoy the meal with my mum as she tells me about her day.

I wake up to the ringing of my alarm clock I prepare for school after which I check my messages to find one from Jason.
Jason: Hey Cherry. Just wanted to say good morning and hope you're feeling better.
I smile but don't reply. I need to retract from him a bit.
I grab my bag and slide down the railing of the stairs.
"Morning mum." I say as I kiss her on her head.
"Good morning dear. We need to talk. Sit down."
I put my cup of juice down on the table as I slide into a chair slowly.
"What's wrong?"I ask warily.
