You Just Don't Know (9) – I'm Broken

Yesterday Harry decided he was going to ask me out. I never gave him an answer. I just stood there staring at him in shock and confusion. I'm sure if he asked any other girl they would jump at the chance of dating Harry, but it was different for me. He was my best friend and that would change if we dated. Today is my birthday. I'm going to be 18 and I couldn't be any more sad. Monty is coming to town. I can't wait to talk to her about some stuff on my mind.

“Hayden?” Harry's voice floated into my ear.

I turned to him and smiled softly.

“Monty's here.”and with that he left the room.

I was camped out in his room. I took it over really. All my stuff was piled in here. It was no longer Harry's room it was Hayden's. Harry hasn't talked to me much today. He has been on his phone all day with someone.

“Hayden!”

I turned around to see Monty smiling at me as she walked into the room. I was so happy to see her. I got up from the bed and ran to her.

“Monty! God it's been forever!” I said pulling her into a hug.

She chuckled softly and smiled at me as she pulled away.

“I know! I would of went to the states with the boys, but my job required me to stay here.” she said frowning.

“Oh! Well you are welcome at my home in Chicago anytime.” I said smiling big.

Louis poked his head into the room and smiled at us. He walked over to Monty and kissed her. He then came to me and kissed my cheek.

“The boys and I are going out to the pub we will be back a little later.” He said as he pulled away from me.

“Well that means girl time!” Monty said smiling at me.

Louis disappeared out the door. The other boys poked their head in the room to say bye, well all but Harry. That kind of hurt me a bit. I mean he could at least talk to me.

“What's going on?” Monty said noticing something was on my mind.

“Oh nothing.” I said trying to pull it off.

“What is it?” she said moving in closer to me.

“Harry..” I sighed.

“What about him.”she said laughing slightly.

I don't think she was going to understand my situation. Louis and her were so much different then Harry and I. We were friends before all this. They were not so much. Actually Monty hated Lou to start with. Louis bugged the crap out of her until she said yes to a date and of course that date went great cause look at them now. Harry and me, we were a completely different story.

“I don't know. Never mind.” I said looking at the ground.

“Oh my god!” Monty screamed “You fell for him!?”

I turned to her as a blush creeped onto my cheeks.

“Yes I did. It's not my fault. It's his hair and eyes!” I said falling backward onto the bed.

“Sure it is..” she said looking down at me.

“I love him, I really do, but I don't think I can be involved with him. I will get so much hate from everyone. I can't handle that. I couldn't even handle a interviewer hating on me.” I said as I shook my head.
