Summer Nights, no parents, no homework, no babysitting, the only thing were thinking about now is partying. Diamond got the drinks from her older brother, she brought Ciroc, the Summer Colada flavor, that's our favorite. She also brought some Malibus. We were all at Sasha's house getting ready for tonight, blasting music, doing our hair and makeup, looking too good.
"What shirt should I wear?" Diamond asked while holding two shirts, one was a blue crop top with flowers around the sleeve and the other was a black mesh shirt.
"I'm feeling the mesh shirt." Sasha replied
"Yeah, its nice you should wear it." I said while wanding my hair
Sasha turned up the music, and started to take some shots, she turned around in anticipation as one of her favorite song approached.
"Sold out dates, cash every day
I got you Hermés, I love that blue race
This cheetah my pet, the condo a cage
Addicted to sex, I gotta get laid "
Sasha was singing along, Diamond laughed as she was watching Sasha acting a fool.
"Yo, whos the song by?" Diamond asked
"By Gunna, Why?" Sasha replied
"Let him sing it." she laughed and continued getting dress
I pointed at Sasha as I laughed, she pushed my arm away and smirked. This is what we needed, laughter. We grabbed our small purses and exited out the door. It was time to for us to get lit and enjoy ourselves, we took an Uber to the place and it only took us ten minutes. As we entered the door, we saw familiar faces and not so familiar, however we saw one of our friends named Amber. Amber lived five blocks down from us, Bedford Park.
"Hey guys!" Amber smiled
"Hey." we all said in unison as we each gave her hugs
"This place looks lit." Amber bump to the music
"It is." Diamond started to dance
To be honest, it was lit, everyone was having a good time because one of their brothers are finally home for good... hopefully. There were colorful flashing lights, good music, good vibes and most of them were good people. Like I said this is what we all needed, laughter.
"Isn't that Clarence?" Amber pointed and we all turned our heads. Clarence was talking to another female, sharing blunts and drinks. He was too touchy and too flirtatious. We already know, he's going to come up with another excuse, "She's just a friend. I can't have girls as friends?"
"Just leave him alone." Diamond demanded
"Yeah you're right." Sasha rolled her eyes and took out her phone
"You about to throw a sub?" I asked
"Mhmmm." she began typing on snap
"Stop focusing on boys, and lets have fun." Amber started to dance
We all started to dance, we flushed out the bad energy and let our souls run free. Tonight was ours, no worries. Finally the rest of the boys from our hood came, they got the man of the hour here with them. They all circled around him, giving each of him some pounds, some fives and some hugs. One of the boys, Malik. He wanted to be a rapper so bad, he even made a song for one of his bros. Was it good? The audience was cheering. Was it good for me? I just clapped ... once. The DJ changed the tune, so a boy can grab a girl, and the girl can give him whine that he will never forget. Amber was the first one, to whine up on one of them. Everyone started to dancing, even me, the alcohol was in my system so was the weed. I wasn't a smoker, however sometimes you just needed a pull, to get lit. We partied until 5am, and it was time for the party to end. We all had a great time, this is something we needed, in a very long time. We exited the party and we was looking for a cab, Amber waved goodbye as she walked her own direction home. A car drove in front of us, and it was Clarence, Trev, Malik and the one who finally came home.
"Yall need a ride?" Clarence smirked
"You better go ask that girl for a ride." Sasha scolded him
"You really going to do this right now moe?" he shouted
"Yeah, I'm done, we're done." sasha turned her back on him
"I talk to you later, matter of fact." He said as he drove off
"That was a free ride..." I said
Sasha looked at me, with her furious eyes, I know I shouldn't had said it but it was late and I was tired. We were all tired, and I knew Sasha regretted it too.
In the past 30 minutes, we arrived back to Sasha's house, we were so drained and we just wanted to sleep. We freshen up, and we was ready for bed, except for Sasha.
"And where are you going? I asked while putting a oversized T-shirt on
She was sneakingly exiting the door, like she didn't hear me at all.
"Where are you going?" I asked again
She looked down and smiled
"He said sorry...so" she whispered
"Oh my God, you never serious aren't you?" I scolded her with a serious face
"Good night." she laughed as she closed the door.
I don't know, how she can do it, if a nigga breaks my hurt it's over we're done. I do not have time for forgiveness, I do not have time for another heart break to keep on happening. Maybe, is because I don't know love yet... maybe when I experienced it, I will feel the same way that Sasha feels.
Early in the Morning, I woke up and it was only Diamond and I in the house. I guess, she still at Clarence's house. I tapped diamond to wake up and gave her hand gesture to show that Sasha is not back yet. We both laughed and texted her.
"I'm heading home, see yall later." I said as I exited the house and walked downstairs
It was only 11am, and the boys are just standing around the block, this was a lifestyle, their lifestyle, what do they gain from this? As I was walking down to my building, I heard the boys talking, the boy that came out of jail, talking about his experience.
"It wasn't really a big deal, 4 years was alright. They told me if I told on my bro, they would had gave me 2. I just kept quiet." The boy laughed
"Snitches get Stitches", that what we used to say, when we were kids. But if you really think about it, if he really did snitch, would his bros show the same love? Would they greet him with open arms? Suddenly, my daydream was over, I don't know how but I ended up in the boys corner. All eyes were on me and I suddenly panicked. The boy who came out of jail, his eyes shut me down. He gave me the chills, he crossed his tattoo covered arms. He didn't smile at all, I took three step back and did a military turned and walked to the closest building. This summer, I don't think I can make it.
