Chapter 1 The accident

Craig's Pov
It was just a normal day. Going to school meeting up with my friends heading to class and having a good time. But I never thought that this would happen.

I never thought off losing one of my best friends like that. I never wanted to lose him like that. Nether did the others. But none of us could see it coming not even him.

7 year in the past

I was just waking up to start a regular day at school. I turned off my alarm. Began getting ready and dressing in my normal clothes. I grabbed my phone and my backpack. I ran downstairs and grabbed my lunch. I said goodbye to my parents and walked out the front door. I only began walking towards Weston high school. "Hey Craig." Unknown yelled.

I turned around to see Tyler and Marcel running towards me. I stopped and let them catch up. "Hey Craig how are you?" Tyler asks. "Good as always and ready for prison." I said. Both of them began laughing uncontrollably. All three of us only began talking about the new games coming out.

When we reached the school I was hugged by Evan. "Hey ev." I said hugging him back. Evan smiled and we both stopped hugging each other. Evan is known as the popular boy at school. Only because of his kind and understanding attitude towards others. Not a lot of people have that kind side. "Hey bitches." Unknown yelled. We looked to are right to see Brian, a very annoyed Brock, Lui, and David. "Brian your to loud." Lui says.

"So it doesn't hurt anything or anyone." Brian says. "Well it hurts are eardrums." Brock says. Brian rolled his eyes in announce. "Where's Luke and Jon?" Evan asks. "Don't know." Tyler says. Out of nowhere Evan is picked up and out on someone's shoulders. "Jonny." Evan says hugging Jon. "Hey Evan." Luke says. Jon let Evan get off his shoulders.

"Took you guys long enough." Marcel says. "Sorry Jon got stuck in the hamper." Luke says. "Only because you pushed me into it asshole." Jon growled. All of us began laughing after that comment. Eventually the laughter died down.

"Anyway I have something for all of you." Evan says giving us amulets with beautiful gems and are favorite animals which looked like they were being held. "Wow Evan thanks." Lui says. "No problem I know all of us are going to be friends for a long time so I made these." Evan says showing us his cut and bruised hands.

"Well will wear them all the time and never take them off." I said. Evan smiled at me in happiness. All of us walked around, laughed, did are normal thing. When the bell rang all of us went to class. When lunch came we became goof balls. Making each other laugh and just having a great time. After all of us began talking about the video game all of us would play after school.

When school was over with all of us began walking to Evans place to hangout. "So what are we doing today Evan?" Tyler asks. "I don't maybe play games and watch some movies." Evan says. "We could play truth or dare." Lui says. "Oooh I cant wait to see who you like Brock." Brian says.

"Not to fast Brian we might not even play Truth or Dare." Brock says. We got to the crosswalk and began crossing. I saw a group of four kids just chilling in front of a house as a mother and father sat on a bench.

Evan was in front of everyone as we continued crossing. "Well we can if everyone wants to." Evan says turning around and walking backwards.

"Yeah whatever." Brock says. Out of nowhere all of us could hear a car zooming and tires screeching. What happened next went by so fast it took my Brain a minute to register. Out of nowhere a car hit Evan right in front of us. Evan went flying over the car only to land back onto the ground. Evans mouth was dripping blood. We could hear screams see shocked faces.

"Oh my god Evan." I yelled as I quickly ran towards Evans side and dropped to my knees. I looked at Evans face it was just cut and Evans breath was weak. I felt tears filling my eyes. "Evan please god please Evan say something." I heard brock say. I could hear Crying. I looked to see Lui and Brian both crying. "Evan please come on wake up." I said. I saw Evans eyes slightly opening.

Evan only smiled weakly at us. "I-I'm g-glad I-i ha-be Friends li-like all of y-you." Evan says as his eyes closed. "Evan no please Wake up Evan." I yelled as tears fell down my face. All we could hear were sirens approached.

When the police and paramedics came they took Evan on a stretcher in the Ambulance. The police began questioning everyone and in the end I was taken home by a police officer. The officer explained to my parents what happened.

My parents only hugged me tightly. I only began crying uncontrollably. That night I could hardly sleep. I wanted to know if Evan was alright.

The next morning I woke up and got dressed. I could hear my mother talking. I walked downstairs to see my mother talking on the phone. "I'll make sure to tell him. Thank you for telling Sammatha. I'm so sorry you have to do that." My Mother says. Sammatha is Evans Mothers name.

My mother hanged up the phone. I saw my father in the living room just silent. I walked towards her and she saw me. "Hey sweetie." She says. "Mom is Evan okay?" I asked. My mother stay silent and she kneeled down to me. "No honey he's not. The doctors put Evan on life support and they've asked Evans parents if it's okay to pull the plug hon." She says.

I felt tears gathering in my eyes. I knew what pulling the plug would do. Evan was going to die because doctors say he isn't strong enough. "Craig do you want to say goodbye to Evan before he goes?" My father asks. I shook my head yes. My dad then drove me to the hospital.

From there we walked up to Evans room. Evan had tubes in his mouth, neck brace, and other bandage. Evans Parents were sitting in chairs looking at the ground. My father said something and they were okay with me saying goodbye. I said my goodbyes to Evan. Tyler, Luke, Jon, David, Lui, Brian, Brock, and Marcel also walked in and said goodbye.

All of us stayed as the doctors took the oxygen tube out of Evans mouth. We watched as Evans took his final breath. We heard the machine flat line. Evan was know actually gone. That day I cried harder and harder to a point where my parents couldn't take me to school. I cried myself to sleep that night.

Next morning

I woke up hearing my alarm go off. I turned it off. I got dressed and ready for school. I grabbed and put on the amulet Evan gave me. I grabbed everything I would need. Yet I had no smile on my face. Only because today was the day well the first day at school without Evan. Marcel and Tyler caught up with me. All of us talked but were silent half the time.

When we reached school I saw Jon and Luke. "Hey guys." I said. "Hey." Jon says. I could tell both of them were sad. We didn't wait to long for Lui, David, Brock, and Brian to show up. Yet when I looked at Brock I could feel he was really hurting in the inside.

Without saying a word Brock began walking away. "Brock where you going bud? David asks. "Class and if I was all of you I would do the same." Brock says walking away. That was the first time Brock walked early to class. It shocked all of us but why should we judge.

As time passed are group just began to split apart. Brock and Brian both stopped hanging out with us and talking to us. Lui and Daithi just moved away out of nowhere. Luke and Jon got more cruel and mean. As for me, Marcel, and Tyler we stayed friends only trying to make it threw school.

I just hoped later on threw life everything would get better for everyone.
