Alex
2 Weeks Later...
Training with Rob everyday has been both really fun and really horrible. He makes us get up at like 4 in the morning. However, I'm now almost fully skilled with a bow and arrow, and I mastered sword fighting a few days ago. Two weeks doesn't seem like a lot of time, but it really is. The threat of Steven is still hovering over us, but that's what we're training for anyway. We're going to battle our Warlaki tomorrow, and right now we're eating dinner. Magnus and Alec have become very... close. Alec's transformation animal is a snowy owl, and though it's not a perfect representation of him, it does fit his personality. Back to present time, our quartet was sitting with Alec, currently discussing what it's like to fight Warlaki.
"Yeah, they're just little black blobs almost. But when you kill them they evaporate into this mist, it becomes your transformation, and just runs into you. Then a tattoo of that animal appears on your body," Alec told us. "Simple, really."
"But-" Magnus interjected, "-what's the transformation like? Like, do you call on it, or get this feeling? And what's the first one like?"
"Well, after getting your tattoo, you have the ability to transform, right? Yeah, so you just get this feeling it's like an addition to your soul. It's really hard to explain, but you'll get it eventually." Alec had been our main source of information, apparently he'd gotten his transformation when he was about twelve.
The bell signaling the end of dinner sounded, and we got up. Jem, Carter, and I headed back to our dorms, but Magnus stayed behind with Alec, disappearing into the crowd with him.
"What's going on there?" Carter asked, speaking of Magnus and Alec, wiggling his eyebrows.
"Stay out of Magnus's private life!" Jem scolded. "If he has something with Alec he'll tell us, butt out."
"Fine," Carter muttered. At this point, we had reached our rooms. "See you gals bright and early to kill some Warlaki!" Carter said, sarcasm and fake joyfulness coating his words.
I walked into my room, and Jem followed me. "You okay?" I questioned.
"I suppose," she said.
"What do you suppose?" I asked, concerned for my friend.
"This just seems... it's a lot of work to do all this, y'know? Get our powers, defeat Steven, we're just teenagers. I just feel pressured I guess," Jem confessed.
I nodded, flopping on my bed and patting next to me, inviting her. "It is a lot to do. We are just teenagers. But we have to be strong, and brave. We've got to pull through and do what we have to to win against Steven. On the bright side, we get to see Athens!" I tried to cheer up Jem, but she still seemed down. Eventually, I got tired, and I fell asleep, listening to Jem's steady breathing next to me.
Carter
After saying goodnight to Alex and Jem I flopped down on my bed, scrolling through the internet. After a few minutes on Tumblr I decided to go for a walk outside. Walking through the empty halls of headquarters I heard hushed conversations, people talking and laughing with their friends. I saw a little girl, probably around the age of seven, running around, then transforming into a blue parakeet. I reached the front door, and stepped outside, breathing in the fresh air.
The Agents of Wolf Headquarters is located in upstate New York. Though there are many different institutions around the world, this one is where the leader, Diana, resides. Speaking of Diana, as I was walking through the garden, I spotted her sitting on a bench. I approached her, and sat on the bench next to her.
