"Baba," Minghao said as he held on to his father's sleeve
"Yes, Haohao? What is it?"
"I want that car for my birthday." He pointed at the plastic car that's painted electric blue with yellow lightning bolt stickers on the sides.
"Are you sure that's what you want? You only get to choose one thing."
"Yes."
"After we'll go get cake together and meet up with mama, okay?"
"Yes!" Minghao jumped up and down in excitement.
The father and son walked up to the cashier to pay for the toy car, then they went to the cafe nearby. The mother was sitting in the corner drinking her cup of coffee before realising that her husband and son had arrived.
"How's my little Haohao doing?" She asked as she hugged her son.
"Mama, are we getting my cake now?"
"Mmhmm, go pick which one you want."
Minghao walked to where all the cake was, the cakes weren't too big and not too small, just enough for a family of three.
He saw the chocolate mud cake on the left and pointed at it, "Mama, I want this one."
The mother took out her credit card and paid for it and took the cake home.

The father lit up the candle and turned off the lights,
"How old is my Haohao this year?"
Minghao held up three fingers and said, "Three."
"Our Haohao is growing really fast, isn't he?" The mother said and ruffled her son's hair, "now make a wish."
Minghao closed his eyes and after a moment he blew the candle out.
"What did you wish for darling?" the mother asked
"It's a secret."
A/N
The picture is of a shop called bread top, they mainly make bread but they make cakes as well. Their food is good but they cost.
