The next day Sophie was restless. Absolutely restless. She spent most of the time pacing, waring a grove into her flower carpet, waiting for her friends to drop by.

Finally, the door bell rang. "I GOT IT!!!" Sophie yelled from her room and raced down the stairs. Normally she would've tripped. But this time, Sophie was too focused on her only objective: Drag her friends into her room, lock the door, and scream at them for being 1.507 minutes late.

"About time," Sophie grumbled, opening the door to see her friends with excited expressions. Biana, however, was too busy checking her reflection in a rather large hand-held mirror. Sophie hated to admit it, but Biana looked extremely stylish in a pink off-the-shoulder shirt and a pair of patched up leggings. Not to mention, those killer boots were something Sophie would never be able to pull off.

Fitz traced Sophie's gaze to his sister and cleared his throat. "Um, Biana? If you don't mind putting that away...?" Biana glared at him before reluctantly obeying.

"So I finished carving all of the leaping crystals." Keefe started. "Will we be going right away?"

Sophie nodded as a 'yes' and scanned all of their rather eager and slightly nervous faces. "So, we're all ready, right?"

"We're all ready," Dex said. "But...are you?" he pointed at her, to which Sophie looked down and blushed beet red. Despite being so restless, she hadn't bothered to change out of her matching pajamas with little bananas printed on them.

"Oops....Don't worry! I'll change right now!"

"Couldn't we at least get a picture?" Keefe whined and made a camera sound.

Fitz nodded in agreement and flashed his famous million dollar smile. "Yeah, you look cute!"

Sophie sighed. "Wait for me out here, okay?" and she closed the door as politely as possible. But her calm facade quickly faded as she pressed her cheeks into her face. DID. FITZROY. AVERY. VACKER. JUST. CALL. HER. CUTE?!?! The idea was too surreal, but with a tiny squeal, she zoomed back to her room to change.

However, she did follow Vertina's commercial-worthy-extra-fast-talking on her clothes. Coming out of the bathroom in a plain butter yellow tunic and lace up boots, Sophie tied up her hair in a loose ponytail. This was great, she was ready.

So she zoomed back down the stairs and told Grady and Edaline that she was "going out with friends" before exiting out the door.

"So, now we're all ready, right?" Dex asked while Sophie mustered up a weak giggle.

"Well, Foster's ready. So I guess we are, right?" Keefe teased.

Sophie rolled her eyes. "Yeah, whatever. Fitz, could I borrow your pathfinder?"

Fitz quickly unlatched the crystal facet before giving it to her. Sophie took it and latched on the first leaping crystal. It was a perfect fit! The way that the crystal clicked on with some turning and digging was just too satisfying. "Okay, hang on everybody!" Sophie shouted.

So they all clung on to each other, Biana to Keefe. Keefe to Fitz. Fitz to Sophie. And Sophie to Dex. Sophie passed the pathfinder to Fitz, who raised it up to the sunlight.

And......they were engulfed into the warm feathers clinging on to the as they leaped through the light.

Like the most cliché out of all cliché's, everybody tumbled into a dark cave (except for Biana and Fitz; they're just absurdly graceful and perfect).
