Chapter 4

~Caitlin's Dream~

It was midnight. The setting was somewhere where there was a sweet and delicious smell.

Slowly, some of the blackness that was fogging my vision, went away. Although the memory was a little vague.

I finally got to see where I was. I was in a bakery. It was the exact same bakery that my mother and father had owned.

Me and my friends were playing UNO at the counter where you receive the goods. (Food obviously)

~Time Skip~

It was 7:00, I looked at the clock.
Me and my friends had finished playing our game of uno.

Mom and dad went to take out the trash at least 30 minutes ago. They never ended up coming back. I was worried about them. After my friends left, and I closed the bakery, I went to check on mom, but in case something happened I would be sneaky.

I slowly and quietly crept to the back and peeked from the side of the wall I was up against. I saw a man who looked like he was in his mid thirty's. I couldn't remember the rest, it was kinda blurry. Although I knew that he wasn't my dad. Who was he? I looked down and saw blood seeping on the ground. It was coming from a plastic bag. I looked around hoping that it wasn't my parents. I eventually spotted a card, which appeared to be my mothers, and fathers was right next to it. That was the time that I realized, my parents have been murdered.

I was scared, but still stayed quiet. I quietly made my way back inside. I walked to the back room and grabbed the (Your gun). I then took my cellphone with me. I went to loot the cash register and bank, so I could save our money. Next thing you know I start to here the door open in the back.

As quick and quiet as I can, I ran to the safe room. My father had built it in case of emergencies. The walls and door was made of iron. It had locks on the inside, so the bad people couldn't get in. I went inside and locked all the bolts on the door.

I dialed 911,"911, what's your emergency?", the receptionist said.

"Uh, Yeah hello, I need help. My parents are dead and people are breaking into our bakery.", I said scared out of my witts and slightly crying.

"Alright, calm down. What's your address." She/he asked.

I told her the address. "Ok, I'll send the police there immediately.", She said,"I'll still be here with you on the phone ok?"

"Ok.", I replied. She kept trying to calm me down and tell me that everything is ok.

Soon enough the killer was pounding on the door with what sounds like a sledge hammer or something.

One by one, the deadbolts start to fall of. Not too quick, but not too slow.

"NO!! STOOOP!!!", I screamed as tears stream down my face.

I heard police getting closer to the location.

The bolts fell off and the door slammed open. There stood the tall man with a sledge hammer.

He walked towards me as I backed into a wall. He raised his sledge hammer up.

Before he moved it down, a police officer shot him. The man fell to the ground in pain. The apprehended him.

"Wake up!!", I hear someone yell in worry.

One of the police officers walked up to me and tried to calm me down. "He killed my parents.", I said as I cried my eyes out.

"Caitlin wake up!!", the man said.

~Dream end~

I woke up and saw....Lightning?
