Chapter 9

Hi there, dear readers. Here's chapter 9, and a song.

~Caitlins POV~

I was down by Red's Fire Station. I was building a sort-of maid cafe, you could say. It was gonna have entrees, dessert, main dish, drink, and etc.

I already had out the blueprint sketched out, and had the materials, tiles, etc, for the interior and exterior.

I had hired some construction workers to help me out with building the maid cafe. As for more help, Mater said that he would hepl if I ever needed it. I don't think that Lightning even knows that I am building this cafe. Well the construction workers did most of the work. I only gave them the blueprints, and told them how I wanted it to be/where I wanted it to go.

Anywho, I'll keep it a surprise from Lightning. He will probably find out eventually. Probably from Mater or someone else.

~Doc's POV~

Me and Lightning are having a little race practice down where we usually go to race. At the valley.

At times he would race, at other times I would race with him. Exactly like we had used to about how many months ago?? I can't remember. Curse my old self. She mean I'm not that old.

"YEEAAHH!!! WHOO-HOOO!!", Lighting screams excitedly as he is racing around.

Dang, I remember when that boy was cocky. He was so self-absorbed that he had no care in the world for anything and anyone. He was sentenced to fix the road because he destroyed it as he was speedin down Radiators Springs. Darn this kid for wreckin my town. Now he is doin better, he ain't gettin into trouble anymore. Now he is helping everyone and being nice to them.

I also notice that he has been hanging out with Caitlin recently. Isn't Lightning feeling kinda lonely without her though. Not like I care too much about there relationship, but he's usually hangin out with her and talking to her.

"Hey Doc, care to race with me?",
Lightning said as he walked up to me, smiling.

"Sure, but I'm gonna win.", I said and gave him a smile back.

Lightning laughs "We'll see about that old man.", He said as he gave me a cheeky grin.

We both got into our cars and started racing.

~Mater's POV~

I was out fixing my hood today. My sign in the front is crooked to the left. I tried to move it to the right a little, it was crooked against, but on the right time this time "HAHAHAHAHA-", I laughed until I was cut off by me ear thingy watcha-ma-call'it.

"Mater, I'm going to stop by tomorrow.", The man said in a British like accent.

"Wait a minute, I remember you. You are ****!", I said excitedly.

"Right you are, Mater.", The man replied back.

Shoot! I miss the guy soo darn much. He probably missing me too. Oh yeah! I wonder if he'll bring my girlfriend with him.

"Hey, ****?", I said.

"Yes, Mater?", He replied.

"Can you bring ****** with you?!", I asked him.

"Sure, She can come. She always comes with me.", He replied.

"Thanks ****!", I say excitedly.

"No problem Mater. Oh, I've got somewhere to be, goodbye Mater.", He said.

"Goodbye ****! See ya tomorrow!", I said.

I was a little sad because he had to leave. I wonder why. Welp, idk. Im'a walk around the town for a bit.

~Caitlin's POV~

For some reason, we are halfway done with building the cafe. How are we getting done this quick? Usually it takes a month or more to build something as big as this. There's no way we could've gotten this much done in a day. Could we?

Once it started to get dark out, me and the construction workers stopped working. I blocked the road the lead to the cafe, so no one would run into any nails or something. Wouldn't want anyone to get hurt now do we. We would want to be safe.

After me and a couple of other construction workers blocked the road, they left and I got on my bicycle. I rode it down the sidewalk because the roads were still busy.

I came by Flo's cafe and started talking to her. Apparently, Ramone was there to, which I didn't mind at all.

"Yo, girl how ya doin?", Ramone asks me.

"I could say the say the same thing, babydoll.", Flo said.

"I'm doing great. What about you two?", I reply back to them smiling.

"I'm cool man, just enjoying the sunset with Flo~", He say as he smiles at Flo.

"Mmmhmm... I could say the same thing to darlin...... Did you hear about the Grand Prix that is coming up soon?", Flo said.

"A second one?", I asked.

"Mmhmm, that's right, a second one. Famous racers from around the world are gonna be there. Even Lig-.", she stopped herself from saying more.

~No-ones POV~

If only Caitlin knew that Lightning has a surprise for her. Only Lightning should tell her in person. But when will he tell her and what will he tell her?

(A/N: It's not a proposal, or asking her to be his girlfriend yet. I'm not making that part yet)
