Emas POV

Jughead barges into dads room.

"Ema get up we gotta go." he says as he shakes me awake. I groan. "Why." I say. "Penny Peabody called again." He explains. I jolt up.

"Jug, dad said if she calls not to answer." I tell him. "Yeah i know but i dont have her number saved so i couldnt really do much about it." He says. I sigh, "Jug you know how much trouble were gonna be in with dad, right?" I ask him.

"Em, theres nothing we can do about it right now, ok, so until dad gets out, we deal with this together, like always, alright?" He says to me. "Alright, lets go." I say as i get up.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"We can't do this favor for you, whatever it is.
If I have to pay for you helping my dad-" Jughead starts but Penny cut him off.

"He needs more help, that's why I called.
FP got in a little "accident", with some Ghoulies in the prison showers the other day." She says. "Oh, my God." I say. "Listen. He's in the infirmary now." She says.

"Is he okay?" Me and Jughead both say. "Well, they messed up that pretty face of his. The Ghoulies wanted blood payback for the deal you and that Northsider made with Sheriff Keller, got all their higher-ups locked away." She explains.

"That wasn't-" i start but Jughead cuts me off. "What can we do, to get him out?" He asks her. "For that you would need money. You need money. Rich people? Rich people don't sit in jail. Money greases the wheels of justice." She explains. "We have $18 to our name." I say.
"Hmm. Well, then maybe we should think of this favor as a job. Right? Just a one-time delivery. You just pick up a crate on the Southside, deliver it to an address in Greendale. That's it." She says.

"What's in the crate?" Me and Jughead ask. "Let's say, um Pancake mix." She says. "Penny, Were not gonna be your drug-runners." I say. "Of course not. You're gonna be my "transportation advisor." Do this, and I'll use your cut of the cash for your dad's case. I'll see what we can do about getting him an early release." She says.

"Okay. Okay, We'll do it." Jughead says. "Good kids. Okay.
Now, you just gotta make the drop off and get out of there before midnight. 'Cause you don't want to be in Greendale after midnight, trust me. All right? And, um, this crate, it's not gonna fit on your bike. Can you get a car?" She asks us.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Jug, Ema? What are you doing here?" Archie asks us as we walk in to Riverdale High.

"Out of the way, Bert & Ernie." Cheryl says and she pushes Jughad and Archie.

"Archie, listen. We need your help. You owe me, because of that little stunt you pulled with Keller and the Ghoulies." Jughead says. "Whatever you want. Name the time and place, and I'm there" Archie says.

"It's tonight. And we need to borrow your dad's truck. Archie No questions asked, okay?" I say.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Grab that side of the crate, I'll grab the other, and Ema you grab the front." Archie says and we load on the crate.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Jug, I will see this through, but where does it end?" Archie asks him. "115 Derby Street in Greendale. Come on." Jughead answers.
"I mean, how does you and Ema being Serpents end?" He asks.  "I don't know. We're kind of just living minute-to-minute here. All right?" Jughead says.
