Lucians POV
Lucian watched Amberle climb the rigging up to the crow's nest, testing each step before putting all her weight to the ropes, a smart tactic. She made her way up and basically fell into the wooden landing, he watched as she stood herself up and dusted herself off acting as though no one had seen.
A man boarding the ship takes his attention, he looks relatively young with raven-like black hair and blue eyes but his posture gives an aura of sophistication and more knowledge than a young man would hold, Lucian meets him at the dock shaking his hand whilst keeping up his guard in case of any tricks.
The man shakes Lucian's hand with a slightly puzzled look, he quickly recovers his aura and introduces himself. "I am Peridon, sent from Poseidon as guide and caretaker of the girl, the holder of the locket."
"Lucian Gold, Captain of the Queen Anne's Revenge."
"Pleasure, shall we talk in private."
Lucian sent Henry a signal to take the deck and cast off before he led Peridon to his quarters, he heard the thudding of fast paced footsteps as he shut the door and knew they were finally leaving port. He had told Henry to head north before he received the correct heading from Peridon.
"The first thing on the agenda is the heading, I have looked over these blasted maps and nothing makes sense." Lucian explained, Peridon observed the surroundings of the quarters before his eyes landed on the maps, his lips were set in a straight line and a crease in his forehead as he concentrated. "These maps are irrelevant."
Lucian stood confused, the maps were one of a kind and said to be the only thing that could lead to the treasure, "Irrelevant? What the bloody hell do you mean irrelevant?"
"They are no use to this voyage."
"Alright then what's the heading?"
"Where's the girl with the locket?"
" The girl doesn't have the locket, I do." Lucian could feel his patience sink as Peridon continued his straight to the point personality.
"Give it to me."
Lucian pulled the chain over his head, dangling it for a second over Peridon's hand as he decided whether or not to trust him, finally Lucian placed the locket in his hand. He observed it for a second tracing his finger over the delicate designs, something he had done many times over.
"It won't open."
"No, the girl alone opens the locket." This shocked Lucian, how can a locket be opened by only one person? Has she ever opened it before?
"Then what are you looking for?"
"Co-ordinates" His finger stoped on a design before a ghost of a smile was on his face.
"What! What did you find?"
"Co-ordinates"
"Well? Jesus Christ what are they?"
"Are you common to the place they call the Devils Sea?"
" Those are dangerous waters."
"Poseidon would not put the treasure in a place where humans or those more than human could easily find it." Peridon then left the quarters leaving Lucian to observe the maps, getting this voyage on the way. Peridon had put Lucian into a bad mood with his obnoxious ways and straight on tactics.
The sky was dark by the time he came out from the quarters with an accurate heading, he found Henry sitting on the rail of the poop deck whilst Amberle stood behind the wheel. "What are you doing!" His voice filled with silent fury.
