Amberle had been in her room for three days, with the door locked so that un-wanted visitors could not enter. She hadn't locked herself away because she was angry but because she needed time to process the information that had been given to her. Finding out that she was apparently the daughter of Poseidon is a really hard thing to immediately accept; she wasn't even sure if she has accepted it. The locket remains rested in between her breasts but she cannot help but take it out and observe the words over and over.

How could I be a demi-god? Not only a demi-god but daughter of one of the most high and mighty gods, Poseidon. She didn't feel any less mortal than she had beforehand; she still felt helpless and didn't have any one of a kind abilities, Amberle had never believed in Zeus, Hades and Poseidon before last night. She had always thought the stories were fascinating but never truly believed they were real.

Lucian had knocked on the door numerous times demanding that she leave the room, only to receive a rude awakening that she would not. Each time he had lost his temper; they would argue through the mahogany wood until they both became silent and he would leave. Unlike his cousin, Henry had a different approach, he would bring her dinner and talk to her through the wood as she ate, he never tried to force her out or force his way in; he simply accepted that she wasn't ready to come out of the room.

After three days she had grown tiresome of the four walls surrounding her, although the fourth had a beautiful sight of both the ocean and the sky, it was easy to become bored. She slowly sneaked out of the room checking to see if Lucian was around, she wasn't in the particular mood to deal with his ravings. Amberle made her way out onto the front of the deck where she would usually sit in peace, looking out over the ocean she felt calm; was it the Poseidon part of me that makes the ocean so calming?

The waves crashed against each other, the white foam floating out from where the wood of the ship spit up the sea, creating it's path through the deep ocean blue depths. The sea life seemed to be happening today for there were dolphins playing, jumping in and out of the ocean waters, before returning to their pod and continuing their journey. She wished that she could join them, see under the sea and play as well, but she had never learned to swim, no one had wanted to teach her and she had been put to work as soon as she was deemed able.

As she sat on the deck envying the ocean creatures, Peridon had made his way over and had sat next to her without making a single noise, it was as though he was water running over a smooth surface.

He looked out upon the ocean, stuck in his own thoughts as she was allured to take in his features; His stormy eyes were concentrated on the waves every movements as though he had once been a part of the swaying depths, his hair was blonde and cut short like that of a sailors; like the ones that often left the pier back at Abington.

"Would you speak your thoughts with me? If I am not out stepping my boundaries Miss Devereaux." She was caught a little by surprise by the sound of his voice after sitting in silence for several minutes being immersed into the undergoing activities of the sea life.

"I was imagining what it would be like to swim in the watery depth in which the ship sails through."

"Surely you have swam in the ocean before Miss Devereaux, the ocean would have called to you as you aged on the land of mortals."

"Actually, I never learned to swim. I have always wanted to but the circumstance of being an orphan restricted the people wanting to teach me to no one at all, and I was put into work as a servant as soon as I was able."

Peridon was unpleased, his face had scrunched in disgust; the first real emotion that had appeared on his usually solemn face. Was she supposed to have learned to swim, lived with a family with riches and be looked up to because she is the supposed daughter of Poseidon.
