Chapter 10 Mortal become Immortal

At the end of battle, the village where Ron lived was destroyed. Everyone he knew now died. Ron who was watching the village and knew that it would happen was speechless. He came close to one of the bodies. The body he knew very well and that was his fathers. Ron started to cry, his tears were dripping onto his father face. He felt like he was stabbed by a dagger. In the end Ron who once tried to hold back his tears were now screaming like a child crying right before his father's body.

Sarah and Edward who were there could feel what Ron felt. It was a great sadness that in that cry. But beside that Sarah and Edward began suspecting Ron. Is he really this tall inside that dungeon? That's what both of them thought.

Now thinking about it. Ron can use so many material arts and skills. That is something new. Thought Edward.

Who the hell is this guy. He can use so many things and where is the real Ron? Thought Sarah.

And now after thinking about so many things, both of them began to approach Ron slowly like they were about to kill him. But then Edward stopped. Meanwhile, Sarah without thinking any further started trying to attack Ron. Sarah stabbed Ron right on his left back. It was his lung. It was really a fatal blow from Sarah and it made Edward scream at her.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?"

"He is not the one with us at the dungeon Ed!?"

"HE IS! YOU IDIOT! LOOK AT HIS CLOTHES HE IS JUST GROWING UP!"

At that moment Sarah realised that it was Ron. She thought of it for a second and now she began to realise that it was him. All of her doubt were now vanished, but it was too late. The thing that she did could not be fixed. But the wound on Rons was now started to close. The blood that was oozing out from Ron stopped. And right there in Ron's thought there was Shelly's voice.

Is not over yet, Ron. You must fullfill your duty you cannot join your parents now.

NO Shelly STOP IT. I STILL CANNOT ACCEPT THIS!

Yes you can, Ron. You are a chosen one like me.

Edward were approaching Ron's body who was lying for awhile now. He was about to examine it. But right before he touched him, Ron began to move again. He started to get up. Edward was really surprised that he jumped back and fell down.

"Ron!? You are still alive! How!? I thought Sarah killed you. I was really sure that the blow she made were fatal."

Ron did not answer. He was so confused and mad at the same time.

No no no... why this is happen only on me. I am just a child who wanted to help his parents. But now I am a part of something bigger that even the people around me do not understand any of this nonsense.

"RON! Are you really RON!? Are you become something because of her?"

"NO! JUST STOP IT! I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ANYMORE!?"

That was Ron who was really angry now. His childish emotion now grew inside him and Edward and Sarah could see it well. But this time it was different. He also unleashed an unnatural power. That scared both of them and any creatures around them. Now everyone around them were silent. Even the creatures in the forest.

"Okay, okay, easy boy... I just want to make sure that you are okay."

"I am not okay!? How did it happen? I who was once a boy who was was thinking about making money by looting, suddenly became a growing up teenager that is immortal?"

"SHUT UP! I DON'T KNOW WHY YOU ARE BECOMING LIKE THAT! AND STOP BLAMING US FOR WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO YOU!"

Edward was really hot headed. The main reason he was expelled from the army was also his stubbornness and his disagreement with his upper officer. Since he thought that the way he did was better than his officer's and it was really not a good thing to do to your supervisor. So the day Edward and Sarah were caught up in political affair,they did not have any help from their supervisor.

Ron who was a stubborn kid who was trapped on the time stopping world on the other hand became more mature. He started to think what Edward had just said now. And finally he calmed down and started to look at Edward and Sarah's faces with a sad and sorry expression.

"Edward, Sarah, I am so sorry to scare you and yell at you two like that."

The situation that once was intense started to cool down. Sarah who was once scared and wanted to kill Ron started to rethink about what she had done to him. Meanwhile, Ron who was angry also calmed down. He finally understood it..

"It's okay, Ron. I was a mistake to attack you without thinking."

"No it's okay Sarah. I am not mad at you because of it. I am mad because I cannot die."

"Please, Ron! It was my fault. Because of me you were caught up in all of this. I was the one chased you out in the first place at the dungeon."

"No! It's not your fault! It was my idea to follow you up Ron"

"Both of you! Stop it! I knew that what I did was wrong at the first place. So it was all my own fault that I was caught up in the fight and ended up killing my own dad and other villagers. It was all my own choice that caused all of this."

Edward and Sarah were so confused at the moment. Every word that Ron said made them questioning about it. Then both of them stared to each other, and looked for the answer in both of their faces.

"Hey Sarah did you stab on his heart before you punch his head?"

"No!"

"Then why is he saying that!?'

"I think something really happened to him because of the book he was holding the whole time."

"Hey! I just noticed that he was holding up that book!"

"Edward, Sarah, Please calm down I will explain everything to both of you."

The story didn't take so long to be told. So after an hour and half both of them started to catch up.

"So basically you become the vassal of that thing?"

"A guardian to be exact!"

"What was that all about, I've never heard the story that made a person a vessel for a magical tools."

"I myself as a guardian of this book also don't know the purpose. But one thing I know is thst his book also has some kind of an astral protector."

"Then why don't you ask him?"

"Well he doesn't know what my purpose is. He said to himself that he was once an owner but that wasn't long before he was being used by the book it self."

The answer to the question took a while,but none of them could figure out the story behind the book, the mystery and also the purpose of the book. But since Sarah and Edward felt responsible for what happened to Ron who suddenly became a guy with a mysterious magical tool, they decided to help Ron figure out what that waw all about. The Journey of them began then.
