Brooklyn's POV
"Dad! Mom! I'm leaving!" I screamed, holding my breakfast between my teeth while trying to put my jacket on.
"Don't forget your brothers again!" my mom screamed back.
"Yeah," my little brother, Romeo, said, glaring at me accusingly.
"In my defense, there was a cute girl outside," I said.
"Ohhhh, Brooklyn likes a gi-irl, Brooklyn likes a gi-irl," my youngest brother, Cruz sing-teased.
"Shut up Cruz," I grumbled. "Let's go guys."
I ushered them out the door and the three of us got on our bikes and made our way to school. 5 minutes later, I dropped them off at their school, and quickly biked to mine, Callington High.
When I got there, I took my bike to the nearest bike rack and tied it up. A group of girls walk past me giggling and pointing at me. I smiled politely and said 'hi'. One of the girls looked like she was going to faint. I'm sort of used to this since I've grown up under the spotlight. My dad's David Beckham, a legendary soccer player, and my mom's Victoria Beckham, a singer in the Spice Girls. Power couple, huh?
The first bell rang, which signaled that homeroom was in 5 minutes. I hurriedly ran inside to my locker, which was all the way on the other side of the school. When I finally reached it, I opened it up only to see a bunch of flowers inside. There was a little note attached to it that said "To Brookie, from you know who ;)" Shania. She's this girl who's been desperately trying to make me notice her. Like that will happen. Besides, she has a boyfriend.
I heard a quiet giggle beside me. I looked beside me and I saw a pretty girl. She was tall and blond wearing a simple t-shirt and some jeans. I can't believe I never noticed her standing there, but no one ever uses the locker beside me so I guess I was a little shocked.
"Hi," I said to the girl, trying to look cool. After all, first impressions matter.
"Oh, hey," she replied.
"I'm Brooklyn," I said, mentally hitting my head against a wall. Why would I say that? She never even asked!
"Yeah I know," she said, rolling her eyes.
"Heard of me, I'm assuming?" I asked her.
"Nope, I know your name because a bunch of girls were all like 'OMG you're so lucky to have a locker beside Brooklyn Beckham.!'" she said with a smile."Are you really popular here or something?"
"I guess you could say that," I said, shrugging. The truth was, I was popular. But saying that out loud would've made me sound arrogant and ego-inflated.
"Anyways, what's your name?" I asked, trying to change the subject.
"Chloe," she replied.
"Nice," I say. Chloe didn't seem to be totally interested with this conversation, or perhaps she just wasn't the type to talk. Or I scared the living hell out of her.
"Riing, riing" the bell went, signaling that it was time to go to homeroom, which for me was drama.
"Ugghh, I've drama " I groaned. "So, ummm... I'll see you around," I said, not bothering to hear her response. I ran down the halls, hoping I wasn't late. Not that I like drama or anything.
