Chapter one- Violet

She was being dragged across the dusty wooden floor by two tall strong men in suites. If she’d only hidden her scars better wouldn’t be in this mess. She didn’t mean for this to happen. She was sure she locked the bathroom door in that old forsaken house of hers. She was hurting herself again, her dad walked in of her and the next thing she knows she’s being forced into a mental institution. Briarcliff mental institution, for the mentally insane, whisch she was clearly not. She was disappointed in her parents for bringing her here, but what can you expect from a guy who doesn’t know where to stick and not stick his dick in, and women who is too blinded by lies she forgave him for doing it. She felt tears crept up behind her eyelids, but she pushed them back. She wasn’t about to cry. She was strong, and by crying it will only show weakness.

She was shoved through a door, which led to a room full of newspapers pinned all over the walls. Dark brown wooden walls, which gave it a dark contrast against all the black and white print that littered the walls. At the corner was a tall wooden closet. In the middle was a large desk and behind it sat beautiful women. This woman had the face of an innocent, but once you stared into her eyes, all that innocence is swallowed with pure evil. Her lips were a blood red, her golden locks peaked out of the attire she was wearing, she didn’t look a day over thirty. ‘Sister Mary Eunice’ She thought to herself. She had heard some of the patients whispering things about this women, some said she was the devil, but she had ignored it, thinking it was nonsense. The woman smiled widely at her and it sent shivers done her spine. She stood up and dusted off some of the dirt that covered her clothes.

“Well, who do we have here?” The woman said with a smirk.

“Her name is Violet Harmon” one of the guys who had dragged her here spoke. The woman gave him a deathly glare.

“I was talking to her, you idiot!” the woman yelled and it echoed throughout the room, forming Goosebumps all over her body.  She suddenly felt so small compared to the power this women obviously had. She took a step closer.

“Violet...H...Harmon” she stammered.

“I’ve been expecting you today,” The woman said, getting up from her chair and walking over to her.”I’m Sister Mary Eunice, but you already knew that, didn’t you?” She didn’t respond which caused the women to laugh. “Sit down, Violet” The women said pointing to the seat that rested behind her. She took a step back and slumped down on the black leather seat. “Call me Mary by the way, the whole sister thing makes me feel like an old bat” Mary said walking behind the desk and sitting down on her chair. “Look, Violet things here are very simple here, that is if you make them that way…breakfast will be served at 6am, lunch at 12.You’ll spend most of the time in the common room, then at 8 o’ clock sharp you’ll be guided to your cell, were your dinner will be waiting” Mary said. Cell? What is this prison? She thought to herself, but immediately regretting it, she had forgotten where she was. “You’ll have some chores once in a while…follow my rules and don’t misbehave, then you’ll be alright…or else you’ll be punished for your acts.” She felt a lump form in her throat, she quickly swallowed it back. ‘What does she mean by punished?’ Oh god, this place was getting better and better by the second. “Understand?” She nodded.

“Frank, Larry, take her to the common room!” Mary said and the two men from earlier came towards her, grabbed her by the arms, and dragged her out of the room.

-Common Room-

She was thrown through the doors once again and found herself in another room that had dark grey brick wall, tables and chairs, and an old piano in the corner of the room. She looked up to see dozens of eyes staring straight at her. The music that was playing in the background stopped and everyone’s eyes were fixated on her. They had given her a gown, more like a uniform, to wear all the time. It was short, it went up to her knees, it was old she could tell, even had a few blood stains on it. The cold wooden floor was decorated in thick coats of dust. ‘was everything made of wood here?’ she thought, before trying to get up, but a pair of strong arm captured her by the waist and hoisted her up. She looked up to see a duo of chocolate brown eyes staring straight through her. The boy smiled and you could see dimples adorning his cheeks. His blonde hair, messy, reaching his ears.

“are you okay?” The boy asked.

“Yeah, I’m fine” She said, but in reality she was scared. Scared of being here alone, she had no idea what to do.

“Here, come with me” The boy said, extending his hand at her. She took it and they started walking forwards. The music in the background started playing again and people started dancing around. There was a woman banging her head on a wall, constantly, next to her stood a blonde lady that coddled a baby doll back and forth while crying. This room was full of sorrow and it made her feel sick. They walked, down the aisle of people that gathered around to watch her. She didn’t make eye contact.
