"Ok. Are you ready?" I asked, looking at Socorro. She nodded eagerly.

I began the story and she couldn't stop smiling and nodding as she was following along.

"And it was super crazy because then my dead family saw me when I was alive!!"

"Woah!! What was it like?" She asked.

"Completely Loco!"

I told her about how I would have become a skeleton if I didn't come back by sunrise and how I needed to find Ernesto De La Cruz. Also about meeting Hector and playing "Un Poco Loco" at the contest to get into De La Cruz's party. Right about in the middle I was interrupted by a friend of mine.

"Telling the story again, huh Miguel?" She said. Her name was Daniela and I had known her for a long time. Like, way before I went to the land of the dead. She had light brown hair and was wearing a blue hoodie and jeans, and had a black guitar across her back.

"What?" I asked, slightly startled that she was at the Plaza.

"The story. The one you told me when your family and I was worried sick about where you were." She crossed her arms, a tiny smile on her face.

"Oh, this is the friend you told the story!!" Socorro said. "You're pretty..." she smiled.

"Aww! Thank you so much pequeño!" Daniella blushed at her compliment. "You too." She smiled.

"Thank you!!"

"Well mi amigo," I began to Daniella. "You can listen in to the rest of you would like."

"It never gets old! I'll sit in." She spun around and sat down by Socorro. Socorro sat in her lap and she smiled.

"Ok let's continue," I thought for a moment. "Oh! Right where De La Cruz was going to give me a blessing and Papa Hector stormed in..."

I told the two of them now that De La Cruz poisoned Papa Hector and stole his music. And about how he threw Papa Hector and I into this giant pit and we found out we were family! Then Mama Imelda's alibrije swooped in and saved us! We then snuck into De La Cruz's show and exposed him. The story then finished and Daniella and Socorro clapped and laughed.

"Amazing story once again, Miguel." Daniela smiled.

"Will I ever get to meet Papa Hector and Mama Imelda?" Socorro asked.

"Not in a loooonnngggg time hermantia." I laughed, but she frowned. "Hey, it might not seem like a good thing right now, but it is. You don't want to die, or steal from the dead, or anything bad!" I exclaimed.

"Oh, yeah," she scratched her head real quick. "That would be bad... but I'll see them someday!" She then smiled again, looking up at me.

"Your familia always seemed like amazing people Miguel." Daniella said, Socorro bouncing in her lap.

"They are. All of them. The alive, the dead. We're a big family, but it's so worth it." I smiled.

"Daniela! I got my first guitar today and Miguel and I are gonna play at the Dia De Los Muertos Talent show!" Socorro screamed with excitement.

"Oooo! Sounds like fun! I will certainly be there." Daniella smirked at me and Socorro.

"But not estúpido De La Cruz's version. The slower Papa Hector's one." I said, patting her back.

"Oh, yeah! That's right." She smiled.

"Ok well, I should probably head home by now..." Daniella began to walk away but Socorro caught her hand.

"No," she begged. "You should stay and help us practice!"

"Oh, uh, alright! Sound like fun." I nodded as Socorro got up. She held Daniella's and my hand as we headed back home to practice.

"I can't wait to hear a duet version of the song. It will be amazing. Especially with the talented musician Miguel is and that you will be someday." Daniella said, smiling at both of us.

"Uh," I stuttered a second. "Thank you Daniella. I didn't know I was that good."

"Well I came to the Plaza because I figured you were there playing. And I'm glad I met your sister while I was there!" She smiled.

"I'm glad I met you! You're so nice Daniella!"

"You are just so sweet pequeño!" Daniella giggled.

"She is, isn't she? Adorable too." I laughed.

"Yeah," she smirked and she picked up Socorro. "You are!" She twirled with Socorro in her arms as they laughed together. I'm so glad that my family got along with her.
