"W-why?" Soccoro asked, a sad look on her face.

"I-It's a touchy subject... I-I don't like to talk about it." She looked down at the cement, shaking just slightly.

She grabbed my hand and squeezed it tightly. It felt like my bones were being crushed, but I was fine with it. I don't know how I would feel if I was going through what she was right now. The reason she doesn't have much fun is because she's an orphan. She doesn't know her own family and never did. She hasn't been adopted either. I'm just surprised that she even goes to the same school as me and was at the Plaza today.

"S-sorry Miguel.." She said, letting go. Heavy breaths following her stutters.

"No, Mi amigo. It's...it's alright." I said. I gave her a smile and she gave a weak one back. She grabbed my hand again and squeezed it a few more times.

"Can... Can we go inside? I'm feeling a little light-headed and, uh, need some water or something..." Daniella asked, looking at the two of us. We nodded and she sat down at our table.

"Is she alright mijo?" Mama asked. I silently nodded.

"Just um, y'know, a question a-about..." I said, she nodded.

"Daniella, do you need anything?" Mama asked.

"Si por favor..." Daniella weakly smiled.

"What would you like?" Mama asked. "We have some left over too if you're hungry."

"Oh, Heh, thank you Mrs. Rivera," she smiled. "Just some water would be fine, and maybe an orange." Daniella said.

"Of course." Mama smiled and went into the kitchen to get her food.

"Miguel, you're too nice. Thanks again." Daniella smiled at me, a real one this time, and hugged me.

"I-I'm sorry if I bothered you Daniella. I didn't mean too. You're just so nice and..." Soccoro started but was stopped.

"You? Bothering me? You are the sweetest, most kind, little chamaco ever. You didn't bother me in any way, i promise." Daniella smiled hugging Soccoro.

"Thank you Daniella! You're like a big sister to me." Soccoro gave Daniella a tight hug and smiled at her.

"Aww. You guys are so cute all hanging out together," Mama slightly interrupted smiling with Daniella's things. "Here you are Daniella. Enjoy."

"Thank you again Mrs. Rivera. Your familia, you guys are the nicest people ever." Daniella smiled.

"Aww, you're too kind. Thank you."

"Are you feeling better Daniella?" Soccoro asked.

"Si, Very much. Thank you guys, again. I can't say it enough." She said, putting Socorro and I into a hug with her.

"No problem. We're always here for you Daniella. No matter what." I said.

"Yeah! Amigos always stick together!" Socorro squealed.

"Heck yeah. Amigos for life." She smiled.

"Daniella?" Mama spoke up.

"Si?" Daniella asked.

"If you would like, we have a spare room if you would like to spend the night. If it's ok with them." Mama said.

"Yeah, it should be. I've done it before and I tell them so," Daniella trailed off a little bit. "Thank you. I would love to." She smiled.

"De nada, Daniella." Mama said. She smiled at her and left the room to go see the rest of our familia.

Man, I hope they don't ask Daniella any questions. She can really handle the pressure of talking about it. When she told me she barely had enough nerves to get anything out in the first five minutes. It took almost three or four hours at the Plaza just so I could understand everything. But we've always been there for each other.

Like we said, amigos stick together. No matter what.
