"We're not hurrying it for any other reason than that it's expensive to keep a case going on for too long. It'd be unnecessary. I thought you'd get that as you're about to take over your family's business. Time is money, and money keeps this firm going." The tone of Yoongi's voice made even Jimin shiver, and it was not directed at him.

The room was eerie quiet for a heartbeat, speaking volumes of how cautious everyone were of what to say next. It was Jimin's father who broke the spell, his voice cutting through the tension with his smooth voice. "Yoongi, no need to get upset. I'm sure Jungkook only meant to be assuring."

Jimin exhaled, and his lungs burned in lack of oxygen until he drew an unsteady breath. He had been afraid that something like this would happen. It was a fear he had stored away at the back of his mind, in a cardboard box that was invisible behind the rest of the boxes he stored there. He had not actually thought it would happen.

"It's alright. I should've formulated myself differently, I apologise." Jungkook's spoke with a sense of authority that made him sound older than his age, and certainly capable of taking over his father's company─despite Yoongi's remark. "Obviously we're supposed to solve the problem as soon as possible. I was just saying that however long that is, I'm okay with it."

It was assuring, the way Jungkook handled a conflict. Jimin had been impressed by this talent of his before, but then it had been calm conversations that he had feared would turn into conflict. Now, Yoongi was acting immature, but Jungkook evaded it like a champion.

Jimin had kept quiet, calmed by the fact that Jungkook was able to take on Yoongi so well. But as Yoongi muttered under his breath, "As if you get a say in what's okay or not," Jimin just quite had enough.

"Yoongi!" Jimin earning all of their attention, his tone dripping of disappointment. Yoongi had the decency to at least blush in embarrassment as he pressed his lips together.

"If you want to speak for Seokjin and Jungkook in court, you better start showing your talent. Because, right now, I don't see it to be honest. Jungkook has already apologized, and even if you have a right to question his words, that's no way to do it."

Yoongi nodded as he looked down at his hands, not yet ready to meet Jimin's eyes. It only took a few short seconds for him to turn his head up, and apologize to Jungkook. Jimin almost cooed as the assuring, small, but still there, smile that Jungkook gave Yoongi, was returned by the older boy. Jimin settled with that, too tired to analyse Yoongi's behaviour.

"Well, now that we're over that, I'd like to know what psychiatrist you'll ask to speak for Jungkook in court. Jimin?" Mr Park said immediatley, wanting to move past the argument, although it seemed to have been settled for now.

"I've got a few I can ask. I'm sure they won't all decline, so we're safe. Eomma could always peruse one of them otherwise─someone who works at her hospital."

"Then you need to schedule a meeting with that psychiatrist for Jungkook. You've only got a few days left before the trial, so make it as soon as possible."

"Of course appa."
