Ally's P.O.V October 2013
I hate October, it's such a boring month. The leaves start to fall off trees, it starts to get colder and tonight happens to be the worst night of the year, Halloween. I had just started my shift at the local music store when things started to get a little weird. I was casually staring at the wall from behind the counter counting down the slow dreadful minutes until my shift finished. I hadn't had any customers that night, partially because most teenagers would be at some sort of party getting wasted not thinking about the consequences.
My mind started to wander, thinking about how Luke will be at some high school party with his tongue down some whores throat. Now Luke's gone I have hardly any close friends, none I can tell my secrets too, none that I can stay up watching movies with until 3am and cuddling up stuffing our faces with pizza. Luke was the one who got me through my first heartbreak, he was the one who was always there for me but now I have no one, nothing.
I had barely noticed the lights starting to flicker as my thoughts had drawn me away but the more they started to flicker the more weary I was of the surrounding, causing me to shift uncomfortably in my seat and my body to tense a vast amount.
It was awfully quiet outside for a Halloween night which made the situation even worse. I strongly hate horror films but Luke would always make me watch them, letting me cuddle up to him and burying my face in his large frame which was tightly wrapped around my petite figure. The situation I was now stuck in reminded me exactly of the start of a horror film, but this time I have no Luke to cuddle up to and tell me it's just a film and quite frankly, I was shitting myself.
The lights began to flicker more rapidly and the wind outside started to pick up the decaying leaves, whisking them around the street, creating a loud rustling noise. I genuinely thought I was going to die and I was hoping that it's just a prank some kids are playing on me and that I'm going to go home soon, snuggle up in bed and watch a soppy film where I end up crying for a good few hours over the romanticism. The bell indicating that a customer had walked through the door started to ring causing me to jump slightly and my body prepared for a fight or flight situation, when I didn't see a face emerge around the corner from where the entrance was I assumed it was the wind blowing the door open and I started to read my magazine that I was previously reading.
I suddenly heard a small crash of some CD's falling on the floor, I didn't want to go and see what it was but as it's my job I have to keep the shop in order, why why why why. I cautiously crept over out from the counter and took a deep breath, I have to walk over there confidently because I have to show professionalism to any customer that may hopefully be stood there. As I strutted around the corner I stopped in my tracks when I saw that familiar torso facing away from me.
"Luke, thank God! I thought it was some psycho coming to kidnap me" I laughed with a sigh of relief.
No response.
"Luke" I said more cautiously this time "Luke, are you okay?" I spoke a little louder, my whole body tensing up.
His body shifted slightly and spun around to face me to reveal a pale, unfamiliar Luke. His face was now a paper white colour with black rings around his eyes, not the ones you get from being to tired but the ones which represent an evil being? He smirked slightly and started walking slowly towards me, the deep chuckle escaping from his lips now scared me even more.
"Lu-uke, p-please stop, you're scaring m-me" I stuttered
"LUKEE" I screamed with a tear now falling from my eye while quickly stepping backwards as he was still walking towards me.
I took another step and found myself touching the front of the counter, I scrunched my eyes up and turned my head to the side preparing myself for whatever is going to happen, what's the worst that could happen? Hopefully it will be a quick death rather than a slow and painful one.
It had been a few seconds and I found my self still in the same position surrounded in since, I decided to open my eyes and found Luke' s face a few centimetres from mine, staring deep into my eyes.
"L-lu-uke" I whispered "w-what are you doing, p-please don't hurt me"
A smirk grew from his pale lips and his right hand drifted up to my cheek, brushing his thumb over it lightly before placing it under my chin. I started into his eyes and saw the darkness gleaming from them, I was emotionless and couldn't move, I didn't understand what was going on.
His lips slowly attached to mine, kissing me slowly as we moved in sync together. I don't understand why he was kissing me or why I was kissing him back but I sort of liked it. The kiss started to get more intense, each movement becoming stronger and rougher and his hands were now gripping me waist tightly. My mind became fuzzy and my limbs numb, at the time I thought this may be what falling in love actually feels like, but I wasn't even in love with Luke.
As I felt my eyes slowly closing and my brain switching off, I gave into this indifferent feeling and everything suddenly went black, causing my body to switch off as I collapsed to the ground, the last thing I saw was Luke standing over me with a giant smirk plastered across his face.
