3rd person POV

The show had been released yesterday on Netflix and was already successful. The four actor's social media accounts follower count had increased by thousands. Today was the busiest day of the press tour. They were to attend the ComicCon panel in the afternoon, followed by individual interviews.

Alyssa had kept the entire incident from the party to herself. Her sister had left yesterday, much to Alyssa's relief. She loved her sister very much, but couldn't help feeling uncomfortable knowing that she had made out with her co-star. She was able to avoid any potentially awkward situation with Timothée or Samantha.

The entire cast and the director were lined up backstage, ready to join the host onstage. One by one, they took their seats behind the table, until they were all sat behind their name tags. The host asked a few general questions to the director about the show and asked the actors a few questions about their characters before turning to the audience for fan questions. They were generally easy questions to answer, until one question for Timothée and Alyssa put the two on the spot.

"Your characters seem to have a special bond with each other in the show. Are you two actually good friends in real life?"

The two simultaneously looked at each other, the tension in the room growing with every second that passed. They both knew what their management wanted them to say. We're great friends. We hang out on and off set all the time.

There was a long pause before Timothée answered.

"Um... yeah, I'd say we're pretty close" he stuttered. Turns out Timothée was a shit liar. The audience looked at them suspiciously while the rest of the cast sat next to them awkwardly.

"I mean, we're not as close as the characters... but we're... friends." she said.

Before the fan gave the microphone to someone else, she mumbled one last thing that triggered an avalanche of insults between the two actors.

"Of course. Who could hate Timothée. He's so hot."

"Looking good doesn't make the person's pretty on the inside"

Alyssa had mumbled that under her breath. Unfortunately, her mic happened to be there, and the entire audience had heard what she said.

Well, fuck.

"I beg your pardon?" Timothée said.

"Sorry, I meant not only is your personality horrible, but so are your looks" The audience gasped. Alyssa knew there was no going back the moment the audience heard what she had said moments ago. She might've well taken advantage of this moment.

"Weren't you the person that said damn when you first saw me on the plane." he fired back.

"Weren't you that guy who didn't know how to mind his own business and one day claims to be looking out for me, then the next day treats me like shit."

Timothée swiftly stood up and stormed off stage. Alyssa was quick to follow, but left the opposite side of the stage. She rushed to an empty room, trying to escape her team who were a few steps behind her. She closed the door behind her and slouched down on a chair. She put her head in her hands and let out a big sigh. She had done the exact opposite her management had told her to do. Thousands of negative thoughts flooded in her head. She was convinced this was the end of her career and she would have to return to the coffee shop.

She heard a light knock come from the door, that creaked open lightly. Amanda's head peaked through the small gap between the door and its frame. Alyssa gave her a little nod to tell her she could come in. Amanda took a seat beside the young actress and gave her a reassuring hug.

"We all make mistakes in life. As actors, we have to accept that some of ours are made in the public eye. " A moment of silence passed before she spoke up again.

"Why didn't you take my advice? About Timothée"

"I don't know. It just confused me, honestly." I answered.

"Well I suggest you take it considering the situation you're in right now. Take action before the media turn this into something more dramatic. You're an amazing actress, Alyssa, don't let something like this end your career."

"Okay."

"Promise?"

"Promise"

And this time, Alyssa meant it.
