You never fail to see me walking with pride, with that stride.
You don't miss me smiling with sparkle in my eyes.
You are enchanted to feel the air of confidence around me.
But, how do you turn blind to the fact that appearances can be deceiving?
How do you fail to witness me hitting the rock bottom?
How do you overlook my trivial efforts of collecting my broken self, with so much ease?
Maybe, you never cared enough.
Maybe, you were so stuck admiring my so-called beauty that you missed that I was falling short of my own essence,
Darling, you missed the ugly side, you missed the devil!
You'll never know the dilemmas I face,
You'll never know the insecurities that eat me up,
You'll never know the green envy that grows,
You'll never know the efforts gone futile,
You'll never know the waves that washed away my shores,
You'll never know the moon that did not light my nights,
You'll never know the sun that tried to burn me down,
For, you've only seen me soar and never seen me drown.
