I stepped cautiously out of the Sports Sedan. I looked around the plaza. It was deserted. My heart thumped like a drum as I made my way up the neverending marble stairs. With each step it felt as if something was making me go back. The higher I climbed, The stronger the feeling. But I knew I must go on.

Soon, after hours of walking, I reached the top. I didn't know why I was even climbing these stairs anyway, just that I wanted to see what the top had in store for me.

As soon as my eyes saw over the final step, I knew I shouldn't have come. The air was cold and icy, and I felt like all of the blood had drained from my face. Where had I just arrived? It didn't seem like Earth at all. The sky cradled a tired moon and all around me was fog. It was too misty to make use of the shapes around me. I staggered my way through the fog and found myself in a well known place. Too well known for my liking.

There were faded outlines of strangers, all crowded round a body with a bullet hole in his head. A body with a Hawk's Homes baseball cap on, One from my dad's old collection. There, on the floor, was my very own father - Dead like a doll.
