Knock, Knock, Knock... The door rattled under the pressure of my wrist.
"Come in sweetie!" Carly called from her room. My lips formed a small grin. She always knew it was me.
"Oh Hello there My Princess!" I smiled affectionally as I pushed open the door. She turned her head to face me and beamed.
"Whats up Daimian?"
"Oh Nothing, Just that I suddenly realised that we shouldn't be kept here - I mean, We are only kids! We could flee to Paris... Or New York! Of course We would have to take Hashim as well... He is my best mate, so I can't just leave him here!" I told her excitedly. I thought dreamily about escaping...
"Yes.. Ok darling... Well don't forget Emily!" She looked down at the adorable spaniel curled up on her lap and smiled.
"Yeah, Right..." I said, wearily.
"Daimian, We have to stop dreaming and think about reality." Carly stated the facts as if I didn't already know them.
"Yes, I know Carly, but we could possibly escape, you know! How about we go soon. You know what, Carls? Let's go now!" I said happily as I grabbed her hand and dragged her out of her chair. She laughed and sat back down again.
"Yeah right! What made you want to do this all in the first place?" I shifted my foot nervously.
"Ummm... Urrr.... No Reason..." I sighed heavily. Carly smiled Sympatheticly.
"Another dream about you dad, honey?" Wow! I thought, shocked. That girl can read my mind!
"Urr... Yeah." I said reluctantly.
"You don't have to talk about it, We could change the subject. I will go with you if you like." I smiled. And That's why you're my girlfriend, Carly Mills! I suddenly felt bad not telling her. She is my girlfriend, after all.
"I saw the scene again where he was murdered. It was a horrific sight, Carls. It was so scary. I still feel like his and Granddad's deaths are somehow.... Somehow........" My voice trailed off.
"Somehow related?" She smiled knowingly. I loved how kind she was to me.
"Yeah..." I was lost in thought about finding out who had killed them and why when I heard Carly's voice.
"Umm Daimian? Daimian? Helloooo? Anybody home?"
"W-w-what? Oh Yeah ummm.... Urrr... So this umm... Yeah I'm listening princess..." I quickly tuned into our conversation again.
"Right... So Daimi? Running away; Great Escape?" She urged my raw idea.
"Right! Yeah. Running away Carls, Just you and me... And hashim.... and Emily.... Anyway skip the facts get on with the action. Tonight? 7:00pm? Make sure you get enough clothes for yourself... and Emily? I'll do the same and inform Hashim of the News. You know him - He loves adventure, and will use any excuse to get out of this dump!" As soon as I said the last part, about Hashim, I instantly regretted it. Why? Because I knew how much she hated Hashim. Because her face fell like I had hit her. Hard.
"What's the Matter Pearl and Carly?" I teased in a Cooing voice. A small smile played at the corners of her lips.
"You know I hate that" She snapped, Suddenly her smile had vanished. She grabbed a pea (Yes, a PEA!) Off her dresser and flicked it at me, Then burst out laughing as it hit me in the eye and caused me to yell and stagger forwards. Just my luck! I thought angrily as I tripped over her chair leg and went flying. Carly looked like she was going to wet herself. I growled angrily and then started to chuckle myself. This situation ended up with both of us on the floor, laughing and flicking peas at eachover. God knows how all those peas got on her dresser in the first place!
"Now... " I struggled to talk as I was laughing too much. I cleared my throat.
"Now... *Hiuuucc*" I laughed and then got seriously peeved as I realised I had hicuups. Man I hate them things! You have to keep swallowing so they don't make you make that rude 'Hiuuc' Noise infront of everyone.
"Now... I'm *Hiuuic* Gonna *Gulp* Gonna... Get *Huuuiiic* H-H- *Hiuuuc* ... H.... ACHOO!" I sneezed as I desperately tried to talk. Of course, Carly burst out laughing again.
"Gonna.. *Huiic* HASHIM!!!!" I Yelled eventually.
"Ok darling!" She giggled at me. I glared at her.
"Seriously, Carls, I'll be back at 7:00!" I smiled at her and kissed her cheek. "See you then!" I walked out of her room, closing the door softly behind me. Right, I thought. Time to tell Hashim! I suddenly realised how much I wanted to find out who killed my Father, and give them a piece of my mind. I looked at my watch. Well, I can do just that in an hour and a half! I told myself, Smiling bravely.
"Time to find Hashim!" I murmered as I walked down the hallway.
