Hey everyone!!! I just want Kageyama's story to be sad! Hahaha! This is angst! But this will be my first time writing an angsty story! Please don't judge me 😭
Snow have started to fall. People passing by the coffee shop have lifted cheeks. Smiling of the snow. But, (Y/N) didn't lift her cheeks, instead she just look at the snow freely falling while holding her cup of hot macchiatto. Waiting for her boyfriend for almost two hours.
(Y/N) sighed deeply glancing at her wristwatch.
'Where is he? What's taking him so long?' she thought.
Suddenly, the bells chimed and then entered her boyfriend with his team mates. She thought he saw her, but much to her dismay, he didn't. They just went off after getting their coffee.
She wanted to cry.
'Did he just forget again?' she thought sadly.
She then texted him.
To: Tobio ❤
Hey? Where are you?
She waited for a reply.
From: Tobio ❤
Sorry (Y/N), we stayed up longer. I'm coming.
She read his reply and felt sad. She didn't reply to his text and just wait for him to arrive.
He arrived 10 minutes after his reply to (Y/N).
"Hey," he greeted awkwardly.
"Hey." (Y/N) replied shortly.
The tension between them became heavier. So (Y/N) initiate to ask first.
"So how's the volleyball club doing?" She asked without looking at him and focus on her macchiatto.
"We're doing good. Practice has become harder a lot lately." He replied looking at her.
"Hmm..that's good.." she agreed.
"(Y/N), what's wrong? " Tobio asked curiously, noticing his girlfriend so quiet.
"Ne Tobio, are we continuing this? I mean, are we still okay? " she asked him sadly looking at him straight.
Kageyama noticed this and he felt guilty. He swallowed a lump in his throat.
"What do you mean?" Tobio asked nervously.
"Our relationship, are we still okay?" She quivered.
He flinched on her question. He knew their relationship is not okay. He knew he's not. And much more he knew she isn't.
Kageyama put his hand above (Y/N)'s hand and squeeze it while looking at her sad eyes.
"(Y/N), I'm sorry. P-please.." he said almost pleading.
"Tobio, I understand your priorities. I knew you love volleyball. We love each other but we're not even seeing each other for the past two months. " her eyes becoming dull.
Kageyama furrowed his eyebrows.
"(Y/N), p-please..." he said pleading.
"All I wanted is a little bit of your time for me." She said with a dull smile.
His heart beating so fast as she said that to him. He knew where will this go. He knew. But he can't do anything. It is his fault after all.
"Tobio, it's better if we will stop this. Right, Tobio? " she said smiling sadly with her dull eyes.
He squeeze her hand tightly and look at her eyes with full of guilt. He knew couldn't blame her, but could only blame himself.
"O-okay." He stuttered.
(Y/N) suddenly stand and walk to the exit of the coffee shop.
"(Y/N), I love you." Kageyama whispered to himself and sighed.
He knew, she walked out of his life. And will never be back to where they were used to be.
