Chapter 1 - Bomb

Daniel gasped as his eyes shot open, quickly sitting up on his bed while breathing heavily. He placed a firm hand on his forehead as he panted, finding out that his forehead was dripping with sweat.  ' Damn..I had that dream again.. What's going on with me..?'  Daniel thought as he fell back down onto his bed, calming down but still slightly tense. Daniel lived in a village called Oupruucsey in the country of Ospuycor with his mother and father. Life here was easy and quite simple really. Everyday seemed to be a boring day for Daniel but today was going to change his life forever.

" Daniel, sweetie!" his mother called from downstairs, " Breakfast!". Daniel quickly shoved the thoughts of his dream to the side as he sat up and stretched, putting on his slippers before running downstairs, the aroma of bacon and eggs entering his nose, causing his mouth to water as he glanced at the table, his brothers Kai and Anti already sitting at the table. Daniel gave his brothers a warm smile, Kai rolling his eyes and looking away while Anti smiled back at him. He climbed up into the seat next to Anti and asked him, " How'd you sleep?"

Anti shrugged his shoulders as he replied, " I slept fine. How about you?" " I didn't sleep that well.." " Oh? Why not?" " I had that dream again.."

Anti frowned as he heard his brother's words, immediately knowing what he was talking about. Daniel had already told both his brothers about the dream that he continued to have. Anti was the only one that even cared, Kai would listen but wouldn't do anything to help Daniel.

" Why don't you just not fall asleep?" Kai asked, aggravation in his tone of voice as he had his hands behind his head and was leaning back in his chair. Anti shot him an angry look, " It's not like you have dreams of people dying and committing suicide!"

" Woah, woah boys, what are we talking about?" their mother asked as she put down a plate full of bacon and eggs in front of each kid. " I don't like what you kids talk about but ah, well, you are just kids. Now, eat up!"

All three brothers looked down at their plates full off bacon and eggs, grabbing their forks and beginning to eat hungrily.

After they finished eating their breakfast, soon taking a clean shower and putting on their daily clothing, they went outside with permission from their mom. Daniel breathed in the warm summer air, luckily wearing a white t-shirt and blue shorts. He turned towards Anti who had a wide smile on his face and was pulling on Kai's arm. " Come on, Kai! Me and Daniel are going into the forest to go see Raven and Qrow, come with us!"

Kai growled as he attempted to yank his arm away from his little brother, only making Anti grip his arm tighter. " I don't want to go to the forest! Now, let go!" " Never!" " Grrr..!"

Daniel laughed as he watched his younger and older brother squabble as usual. It happens so often that you might as well call it daily.

After ten minutes of constant squabbling, Kai finally let out an annoyed groan, defeated by his own little brother, embarrassing. " Fine," he said softly, " I'll go to the forest with you guys."

Anti squealed as he pulled his brother into a cheerful hug before being shoved away by Kai with a small growl. Daniel simply giggled before turning around and walking toward the nearby forest, Kai and Anti close behind.

* TIMESKIP TO WHEN THEY ARE IN THE FOREST *

Daniel, Kai, and Anti wandered the insides of the forest slowly, embracing the sights and sounds of Mother Nature at work.

" Raven! Qrow! Where are you guys?" Anti called, looking up at the tree branches and catching sight of two figures sitting up on the top branch of an old oak tree, one with bright magenta eyes and the other with cool jade ones. They began to swing down from branch to branch, their intense agility making Daniel and Kai's mouths hang open, while Anti simply watched them with a grin.

When they finally reached the ground, or more like their hair touched the ground since they were hanging upside down, Anti ran over to them and greeted them with a cheerful hug. " Hi Raven, Hi Qrow!" " Hi, Anti!"

The magenta eyed male, Raven and the jade eyed female, Qrow glanced up at Daniel and Kai "Got anything for us..?" Raven asked, his ear twitching lightly before flipping off the branch, Qrow doing the same as Daniel tossed them both food wrapped in tin foil. They exchanged glances before unwrapping them to see delicious looking sandwiches, beginning to eat hungrily.

Daniel sighed as he and Kai sat on the ground, him beginning to dose off before hearing a loud explosion, the ground trembling which caused them all to let out a shout.

" What was that?!" Anti screeched as he ran towards Kai, hugging him tightly as he began to sob. Daniel quickly turned his head, a long stream of smoke in the air. He gasped as his pupils dilated, his shaky breathing returning.

That sounded like a bomb..and that smoke..that's where my house is..!
