Taking care of

Edds POV (Finally)

I sat down in chair, next to the couch where Tord was on. It had been a couple of hours ever since I had found him. I know, I know ,he killed Jon, blew up my house, and nearly killed Tom, but he claims that he doesn't remember anything. On top of that he was my best friend before I met Tom or Matt. I sighed and drank a bit more of my cola.

Matt had gone out to buy some clothing and supplies for Tord since he didn't have any clothes and looked really bad. If Tom finds out what i'm doing he is going to be very pissed. He never really liked Tord, especially after ¨The End¨.  Good thing we live in different apartments and that he has to work all week long, meaning he won't be able to hang out with us for a while.

I stood up and started to make dinner for me and Matt, maybe Tord if he wakes up. I think i'll make some spaghetti. I got the ingredients out and started to cook.

Matt got back 30 minutes ago and helped me finish the spaghetti. He has been really sweet lately. I mean he is helping me take care of Tord just for me, I mean he was still mad for the whole punching his face thing, and he has been helping me cook, clean, and god I think I'm starting to fall for him even more. Yes I know, he probably won't feel the same way, but still the heart wants what it wants and you can't just change feelings from one day to the other.  

I started getting out the plates so we could eat. I wonder if Tord is awake, by how easy he was to carry, and me being the shorts of the group,  I assume he hasn't had a proper meal in a while. If that's the case well then….. I don't want to think about it.

“Hey Edd?” Matt suddenly said er- asked.

“Yeah?”

“ How do you think Tom will react when he finds out?”I looked at him in shock for two reason: 1 he got Tom's name right,  2 why would he do suddenly ask that. “ It's just he and Tord never had the best relationship especially after ‘The End’ and I feel like he's going to be really mad at us for this. I know how much you love our friends and how much it hurt when you thought you lost one. I don't want you to go through that again with Tom.”

“I…” I was speechless. I nearly dropped the plate as I started to tear up. He really cared about me, I quickly placed the plate on the table and bear hugged him as I let a few silent tears drop.

“Thank you for caring so much about me. I don't know what I did to deserve you.” I responded with a sharp breathe. I felt Matt snake his arms around my waist as he pulled me closer.

“I will always be there for you Edd. Don't ever forget that OK.” he started rubbing circles around my back trying to calm me down.  I sighed and put my head on his chest.

We stayed in that position for a couple of minutes, enjoying each others presence. Everything was peaceful and silent. This feels, nice? Amazing?  I'm not sure, but all I could say is that I never want this moment to end. Unfortunately our stomachs thought a bit differently. Out of the nothing I heard Matt's stomach yell for food, right after mine too.  

“Well, I guess we should eat.” Matt chuckled realising me. I giggled and rubbed my neck in embarrassment as I stood up and grabbed the plates.

I served the plates and grabbed some cola for me, obviously, and gave Matt some a glass of water. We sat down and eat in a comfortable silence. I wish we could be more things friends. Well, one can dream.

We finally finished eating and had cleaned the kitchen. I put some spaghetti in a bowl so he can take some home. We went over to the living room to check up on Tord, he looked worse than ever. He was panting, sweating, shivering, and dirty,  like he had been taking a bath inside a dumpster. I sighed and turned towards Matt.

“Hey Matt, look I know you're not really on best terms with toed here but, could you help me give him a shower. I don't want to have a human smelling dumpster on my couch. “ I nervously asked rubbing my neck.  

“Anything for you Edd.” Matt replied, making my blush a little bit.

We both got Tord and headed to the bathroom. I suddenly realized that he was now really light. This realization made me worry about him more.  We got to the bathroom and prepared the bath with hot water. We slowly took off Tord clothes making sure not to hurt him, considering he had many cuts and bruises all over his body and sat him down on the bathtub. He started cleaning him and everything was okay, until we reached his head. That's when I saw a cut in the back of his head with dried blood. I looked over at Matt as he looked questioned at me.

I pointed over to where the injury was, when he saw it he looked over at me with such and worry. I mean I understand why, that cut looked deep and I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to stitch that up. I guess now we know why didn't remember anything. I gently scrubbed his hair making sure to be extra careful with the cut, and finished cleaning him. I'm surprise he wasn't woken up. Maybe he hasn't been taking care of himself properly.

We took Tord to the guest room and changed him there. I grabbed the 1st aid kit and stitched his cut. After 15 minutes of doing that I gently and quickly wrapped his head with bandages and placed him on the bed so he could sleep a bit more. I pulled the covers over him and we went to the living room.

“You know, you are really good.” Matt suddenly said, causing my to jump a bit.

“What do you mean?” I questioned him blushing a bit, even though I didn't even know what for.

“You know. Being a doc and stuff.” he said nervously.

“Oh! Um t-thanks Matt.” I stuttered out. Once Tord left for the first time I decided to study to become a doctor and took a couple of classes. Now I work a part-time at the hospital and animate on YouTube for fun.

We decided it was getting pretty late, so Matt had to leave. I gave him his spaghetti as we walked towards the door.

“Thank you so much Matt.” I said a smile tugging on my face.

“For what?” he asked

“For being there for me and for helping me through this Tord thing. You are the best thing that could has happened in my whole life,  along with Tom and Tord. You are always there for me when I really need someone, and I just felt like saying, thank you so much.” I told him. After a we he embraced me into a hug.

“I will always be there for you.” he replied as we broke the hug. I opened the door and with that he left. I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. I was so tired. Today had been an, interesting day.  I went to my room changed and went to bed.

Everything will get better……

Right?

AN thanks for reading like promised two chapters this week, tomorrow I will have a new chapter so yeah.  Anyways since I this is going to be important remember.
