LEVI

I watched as her car pulled out of the driveway, simultaneously the scent of coconut and vanilla left to. It took all fibers of my being not to go after her. All I had to soothe me was the remnants of her smell carried by the wind...

"Are you done gawking yet?"

"Oh shut-up Marrko!" I watched as my brother sneered at his real name.

"In this society I am known as Marcus, Liulfur."

So he can use my real name though, I thought.

I tossed my legs over the side of the wall and jumped off my wind sill.

"Anyway, you need to stop acting like this."

"Who's the one who just jumped from the second floor in broad daylight?! You think because mom and dad aren't here you can just show off your abilities without care?" He countered.

"Oh please, we live in the back of the neighborhood surrounded by the forest, as if anyone saw me."

He casually rolled his eyes and headed back into the house.

"Hey! I'm not done talking to you!" I stormed in after him slamming the door behind me to let go a little of my anger.

"You need to stop dropping your responsibilities on me! Like today, I had plans to train but just when I was about to go you leave me a bunch of study tools and say 'Have fun'!"

"I did you a favor! Don't tell me you didn't enjoy having all this time with her!"

I looked at him confused

"When I met her the first time I smelled the same perfume that was on you. So, I wanted to see if my accusations against you were right so I set up this meeting between the two of you," he explained.

"So it was a test to see my reaction?"

"I did it for you!" He exclaimed.

"For me you never care for anyone but yourself!"

I gave him one last glance and ran upstairs. I'm sick and tired of his constant selfishness. Even though I'm the youngest I have always had to take care him.

Watch after Marrko

Check on Marrko

Make sure he's behaving

Shouldn't it be the other way around? He's 19 he can take care of himself! Why must I have to worry?

I wish I could've gone with mom and dad to the Hunters Council meeting but I'm still to young. Plus that meant missing school and both my brother and I have missed to many due to "sick" days. My brother even got held back because he kept ditching even though we were already missing a lot of school.

I walked into my room and sat on my bed. I could still smell her all around me.

For the past 90 minutes it was a struggle to concentrate. It was hard to take notes when I could feel her eyes burning into me. I actually messed up three times while solving the problems but she didn't seem to notice. Whenever I watched her looking at me my need for her grew. I wanted her so much...And when I caught her, the feeling in my arms were electric.

I first met her last month when I went to her school to drop off a book for my forgetful brother. I was walking into the school building when I smelled something. It was so alluring that I followed it, and followed it, and craved it. When what felt like an eternity later, I ended up in front of an English class. I looked in and saw a simple classroom. Studious students at desks. But they were watching something. I turned my head, following their direction, and I saw her. She was staring down at a a piece of paper and was reading aloud. At that moment I was so grateful to have strong hearing so I could hear her angelic voice. The sun's intense glare heated her face but gave her a light that made her shine. Her voice was like a bird, it flew and raised the spirits of others.
