Chapter 3 The Preparation

Hiccup's POV

So I wake up to a loud noise which is probably Toothless again on my roof wanting to go out for his morning flight"I thought still half asleep.

Maybe later bud I'm still tired"I say with myself still half asleep.

30 seconds later..........

Seems like he stopped"I thought while grinning in my sleep.

Just as I said that I felt something was wet on my face and when I opened my eyes in shock it was Toothless licking me.

Bud stop!"I yelled while laughing.

Fine lets go for your morning flight!"I replied in defeat while laughing.

But first I have to go take a bath because you know this stuff doesn't wash out"I say while wiping some of the slob in disgust.

5 minutes later.............

I got dressed with my wing-suite and went outside to see Toothless with an impatient look on his face.

Hey it's your fault you licked if you haven't had done that I didn't have to take a bath"I say trying to win the conversation

Toothless sighs in defeat and let's me mount on him so we can fly and like that we were off to the skies.

So right now me and Toothless are just flying doing stunts and going underwater for an hour.

Since I was getting hungry already I told Toothless to do the finale so we could already eat.

He coos in agreement.

Alright bud are you ready"I ask before I fall off of Toothless.

He gives me a roar to signal me to go.

Like that we were both falling through the sky. Spinning in circles looking at each other while he gives me a gummy smile.

At the same time I pressed the button to let out the wings and my back fin so I could fly.

Right now me and Toothless are soaring through the sky. This is Amazing!!!!"I yell as loud as I can.

I see Toothless nodding in agreement looking pleased because of how happy I am.

This is the part Toothless and I become one again and we did it perfectly. After a few weeks of practice we finally perfected it.

So now we were flying to the Great Hall to get some breakfast.

When we landed we both entered the Great Hall to get some food. I gave Toothless a basket of fish and he munched it down while I got my own food and spotted Astrid and the rest of the gang so I went and sat beside Astrid.

Morning everyone"I said.

They were all like morning to you too.

Where were you?"Astrid asks a bit worried.

I was forced to have a morning flight with Toothless"I said while looking at Toothless who was still focused on the fish.

She laughs and everyone else does.

So you didn't forget about our date did you?"she asks raising an eyebrow.

Of course not I'm Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III I wouldn't forget anything"I say with a sarcastic voice.

Yah right"she says before leaning in to kiss me on the cheek earning a lot of grossed out looks from the gang except for Ruff who was slightly squealing in the inside so as to not show her girly side to much.

You guys should get a room!"Tuff exclaims in a disgusted look earning him a punch to the stomach by his Twin Ruff.

Shut up!!!"she yells in her brother's ear which made him a bit deaf.

Thanks Ruff"Astrid says in gratitude.

No problem"she says with a smile on her face.

So after we ate I went home so I could ask mom for a favor.

When I went inside she was sitting by the fire reading a book.

Um....mom"I ask trying to get her attention.

She turns around to see me and immediately closes her book, smiles and then says"What is it dear?"

Mom can I ask you a favor"I say like a kid.

Sure what is it?"she says with a puzzled look.

Can you watch over the village I got some plans to do today"I say with a hint of excitement.

Sure why didn't you say so. It's no problem for me at all"she says excitedly.

Thanks mom"I say while giving her a hug.

While we were hugging she asks me"Let me guess it's about Astrid isn't it?"

Yes mom it is. I asked her on a date yesterday because we haven't had one in a while"I say to her earning me a smile.

I'm proud of you son always knowing how to balance things not just being caught up in your chiefly duties"she says joyfully.

Thanks mom that really means a lot coming from you"I say and hug her again.

So I have to get going now with Toothless so I can set up everything for tonight"I say while waving goodbye to my mom at the front door.

Good luck is what I hear her day while I was flying off with Toothless to make the preparations.

Astrid's POV

After I ate Stormfly and I went flying for hours till noon.

After getting bored of flying I went home to put Stormfly in her stable and ran to Ruffnut's house.

For years now Ruffnut has changed and she has become more girl like.

So when I arrived at her house I knocked on the door I waited there for about a minute until Ruffnut answered.

What do you want?"she asks a bit annoyed.

It's time"I say then her expressions turned to excited.

Okay just wait let me get my stuff"she says then bolts up the stairs giggling like a little girl.

Over the years she also became my best friend and my go to stylist.

After a few minutes I can see her carrying a chest downstairs.

Okay let's go"she says excitedly.

So we both went to my house and headed to my room.

You ready"she asks with a smile on her face.

I nodded my head then she opened the chest. My jaw dropped to see all the various makeup,nail polish, lipstick and even hair curlers.

So after a couple of hours Ruffnut was finished readying me for my date I thanked her then she left.

I removed my usual braid and let my hair flow free. I also put some make up and lipstick as well.

Now all I have to do is change my clothes.

So from my usual clothing of armor I changed it to a blue dress that reached until my thighs and wore a blue diamond necklace that Hiccup gave me over 4 years ago. For our 1 year anniversary.

Now I just wait for Hiccup to pick me up.

It's just that if I finish it it would probably be too long.
