Late (Yoo Kihyun FF)

"morning byulie!" byul stepped out of her room nicely dressed and put together as her mother greeted her with a smile and breakfast plate in her hand.

byul smiled and took the plate from her hand. "morning eomma! thanks for breakfast!" her mother raised a brow at her suspicious behavior.

"mind telling me why your up early and smiley in the morning?" byul shrugged and kept smiling while eating her breakfast.

"hmm. is it perhaps a boy?" byul choked on her egg and started to cough like crazy as she turned a bright pink. byul's mom smirked, "bingo! who is it?"

"theres no one eomma! i have to go to work now!" byul put her empty plate in the sink hurriedly and ran out the door before her mother could ask her more questions.

"oh? byul-ssi!" byul looked up to see a familiar man waving at her. her eyes widened and was about to turn back into the house until he told her to get in. "ah- good morning, si- i mean kihyun-ssi." byul awkwardly entered the car and felt her heart racing.

"you know byul-ssi, the company isn't even that far from here. how do you manage to be late every morning?" he chuckled and byul turned red in embarrassment.

"should i pick you up every morning like this so you're never late again?" he teased as they pulled into the company's parking lot. byul quickly shook her head and got out of the car, "i'll meet you upstairs, kihyun- i mean sir!" she quickly hurried off as kihyun laughed, amused at her actions.

when he offered to pick her up in the morning, he wasn't kidding. the next day after he was waiting outside for her, byul was stumbling outside her door and she froze when she saw that kihyun was there again.

"byul-ssi! we're going to be late!!" he smiled and she hurried to his car, still shocked.

the two together had caused a commotion around the company. everyone but the two knew there was something going on between them. byul would come to work on time and smiling while kihyun would be happy and not as stressed out as before.

her mother had also noticed the interaction the two and even invited kihyun over for dinner one day. although kihyun could not make the dinner, he brought flowers to her mother to thank her for the invitation. byul's mom was shocked at kihyun's change. before kihyun met byul, he was like a son to her. he would act like a teenager going through puberty, but after byul, he was like a loving and adorable puppy.

thursday morning came along and byul smiled as she rode with kihyun to work. she fiddled with the strap of her lunch bag nervously before glancing back up at kihyun.

"hey, kihyun-ssi? are you free for lunch?" he smiled at her and turned into the parking lot.

"pabo. you have my schedule." byul chuckled in embarrassment and rubbed the back of her neck as the two walked into the building.

people stared and smiled at the sight of the two together. it was like byul and kihyun had their own fanclub already and they weren't even dating yet (; from the corner of byul's eye, she saw her two best friends winking while mouthing 'fighting!' at her and kihyun. she threw a thumbs up and continued her conversation with kihyun.

a few hours had passed and byul was left with nothing to do. she started sketching designs again, this time on a male model who looked awfully familiar. not noticing the presence behind her, she continued to draw and jumped when she felt a hot breath on her shoulder.

"yah!" byul smacked his arm in defense but covered her mouth once she realized what she had just done. "yah?" kihyun raised a brow and she bit her lip.

"i'm sorry, kihyun-ssi. it was a reflex. i usually act like that with wonho or minhyuk." she bowed her head and he burst out laughing at her.

"i'm kidding, byul-ssi. we can drop the honorifics if it makes you feel more comfortable around me." he gave her his infamous eye smile and she smiled back at him.

"geurae! kihyun-ah." they both chuckled and stared at each other with so much love in their eyes. 

the two snapped back to reality when the phone started to ring. kihyun immediately rushed back to his desk to take the call as byul watched him. once he got off the phone, his eyebrows raised when she called his name.

"do you want to eat lunch with me?" dang. that took a whole lot of guts for byul to say that and at this point she was shaking in fear of rejection.

kihyun nodded and smiled, "kaja!" he held out his hand and byul shyly took his hand with her lunchbox in the other.

the two headed down to the cafeteria causing peoples heads to turn to look at the two. the girls in the cafe squealed quietly when they noticed the two were sitting together.

kihyun stood up to get food and as byul was taking out her lunchbox, her two best friends wonho and minhyuk sat in front of her with smirks on their face.

"stop staring at me like that!" byul turned red and held her cheeks.

"what's going on between you and your cute ceo huh!" byul shook her head and refused to tell them anything. 

the two resorted to pinching her cheeks but stopped when they heard a cough from behind them. they turned to see kihyun smiling at them, making them get out of their seats and walk away while winking/smiling at byul.

byul munched on an egg roll in the shape of a heart while kihyun took a bite of his chicken. byul let out a small smile when she noticed how cute he looked when he chewed. she stole a piece of his chicken and he glared. "yah!"

"i just wanted some chicken!" she pouted and he stole one of her egg rolls. "hey! my egg roll! ):" he chuckled and put it in his mouth watching her glare.

"you took some first byul-ah!" they both chuckled at their childish behavior and fed each other their food.

everybody in the cafe took pictures but did not dare to make noise as they quietly fangirled/fanboyed over the duo. on the other hand, her two best friends were dancing in joy when they saw byul being happy with kihyun. 

man i can't believe im falling for the ceo. byul smiled to herself as she stared into kihyun's eyes and feeding more food.
