when byul woke up on friday morning, she was a bit upset as she got ready. today would be the last time she would be working with kihyun up close. walking outside her house to see kihyun's bright smile made her frown as she walked towards him.

"what's wrong byul-ah?"

"nothing's wrong. i'm just thinking about some stuffs." byul laughed awkwardly as she closed the door behind her.

kihyun ignored his curiosity and drove off to the company. however, throughout the day her byul's actions and mood bothered him all day. she would sigh softly and frown every once in a while making him almost frustrated.

"i'm going to get some air for a bit, kihyun." he sighed as he watched her figure leave his office.

after a few minutes of wandering around the company, byul somehow managed to end up in front of minhyuk's office. she thought she had needed some energy and happiness in her life and minhyuk was the perfect person for that.

she peeked inside and saw minhyuk focusing on his computer. she knocked softly and welcomed herself in as he looked up and rose his brow. "what do you want? i'm playing overwatch!"

"i needed some cheering up. i'm sad." she frowned and he immediately switched off the computer and hugged her side.

"what's wrong sugar cakes? did the sexy hot ceo hurt you?" byul slapped his arm hearing his description of kihyun.

"no.. i'm just sad that it's friday and i won't be seeing him like this anymore." minhyuk chuckled and poked her cheek. "i don't know if you've noticed but kihyun's like head over heels for you. and by judging by the way you're acting right now.. you're head over heels for him too."

"still. he's probably going to go back to being the ceo he was before. busy and has no time for anything." she laid her head on his shoulder and minhyuk laughed.

"just because you go back to doing your dream job won't mean anything byulie. if he really likes you, he'll make time for you. i promise." byul smiled a bit and held her best friends hand.

"but. would if his secretary comes back and steals him away from me?" minhyuk started cracking up and squished her cheeks.

"do you know why kihyun's secretary went on leave?" byul shook her head and minhyuk smiled, "it's because she got married pabo." byul facepalmed herself and chuckled.

"i have to go back now and you probably have work to do. thanks for cheering me up minhyuk-ah. dinner tonight with the trio gang gang?" he nodded and waved.

"see you and wonho later byulie! don't cry!!" she smiled and started heading back to kihyun's office.

"you doing okay?" byul entered with a small smile on her face as she laid her eyes on kihyun. he looked worried and she nodded in reassurance, taking a seat to sign some paperwork.

"hey kihyun?" kihyun hummed in response and byul bit her lip. "what are you doing tomorrow?"

"tomorrow? hmm.. i have some plans. what about you?" byul frowned a bit at his response but nodded anyway.

"ah, nothing special. just eomma's party." he nodded and the room was filled with awkward silence. byul stayed quiet as she was working on new designs and kihyun started to get sidetracked when he seen a familiar face being drawn.

"is that me?" he whispered into her ear and byul jumped, dropping the pencil and staring up at him in shock.

byul's cheeks and ears immediately painted a dark red as she covered his drawings with her hands in panic. "a-ani!! it's just some designs!" kihyun raised a brow and took the paper from her as byul watched in horror.

"it is me! why haven't you shown me these before? it's so good!" byul covered her cheeks with her hands as she watched him go through her drawings.

"byul?" she hummed in response and he continued, "can we make these actual designs?" she stared at him while processing what he said and when she did, she jumped and hugged him tightly.

"really?? you'd do that?!" she jumped up and down with him in her arms and he smiled at her reaction but held her arms down so she stood still.

kihyun let out a small laugh when he saw her eyes sparkle with excitement. "of course byul-ah. these are really good. but.. i'll have to talk it over with everyone. i expect a presentation on monday?" she nodded frantically and hugged him once more.

"thanks kihyunnie!! but.. i can't put a presentation together." she mumbled and he raised a brow.

"what about all those presentations you did?" she looked down and bit her lip.

"i had a little help from wonho and minhyuk.. they helped me put it together and i just presented it. but.. they can't help me this time because eomma's having a party tomorrow and i know they'll be super busy but i really really want this to work.. should i ask them anyways? am i going to be a bother-" byul rambled on and on until kihyun but his finger to her lips signaling for her to shush.

"how about i help this time then?" he smiled and she gave him a look.

"you're not kidding are you? because if you are, i'm going to be very upset mister." she furrowed her brows at him.

"i'm not! i promise." she kept eyeing him out and he sighed.

"okay okay.. are you free on sunday?" byul nodded and he looked at the work on his table before continuing, "let's go on a date." byul blinked twice feeling her heart race.

"d-date?" kihyun could only smile and nod at her but deep inside he was afraid of byul rejecting him. he took a deep breath before saying his next words confidently.

"mm. we can work on it in the morning and when we finish go watch a movie?" byul stared at him and slapped herself softly to make sure she wasn't dreaming.

"you don't have to say yes byul-ah. we can just work on the presentation if you'd like.." kihyun bit his lip and her eyes widened.

"i- ani! i'd love to! i mean- yes i'll go on a date with you, yoo kihyun." kihyun let out a wide smile and cheered in his head.

"then it's settled! i'll pick you up at 10 to get some breakfast. but first, we need to get back to work." byul watched as he happily walked back to his desk with a huge smile.

she couldn't believe that she'd be going on a date with the person she liked so much. byul smiled to herself and held her heart. i can't wait to tell bunbun and minmin about this.
