"AI!"
I laughed as Kakashi blocked Zaza's sneak attack on me as the others glared at my amusement.
"You guys should've seen your faces!" I smirked and continued snickering.
Zaza glanced at me from behind his failed attack. "She's always this crazy; last time I saw her she was laughing her head off barely dodging the attacks of an S-ranked missing nin. She's aways loved to battle, I'm sure you've noticed? She's worse than me in that sense."
My cheek twitched. I really didn't want to be compared to him. Friend or no friend, the man was bloodthirsty ninety percent of the time and I didn't want to be seen as someone with absolutely no morals. No matter how stoic I tried to stay I still had a heart and even though ninjas were suppose to be tools in a sense, I would never lose my heart; of course I could kill without a second thought but most of the time that person's death was justified or if not, I felt some sort of guilt.
"Ai is nothing like you, you eyebrowless freak!" I heard a loud voice call and I looked over to the blond who was still behind me.
I smiled.
"Ai has something you'll never have! She has a heart. She may enjoy the challenge of a fight but that doesn't make her a bad person!"
I grinned at the boy thankfully and he returned it with a bright one.
I noticed the water clone that still remained and made quick work of it with my swords as Kakashi took on Zabuza once again.
The fight essentially consisted of Kakashi mimicking Zaza who was getting, for lack of a better term, pissed off. I obviously found the display hilarious despite the fact that it was suppose to be serious- when you're a ninja you could die any second so I think you should live your life to the fullest. Live, laugh, love.
Most people think I'm insane for that thought process.
"You're finished." Huh? Oh, that was Kakashi.
"How?" Zaza asked, scared. "Can you..see into the future?"
Haha, I know nearly all the capabilities of that Kekkei Genkai and 'seeing the future' isn't one of them, never mind the fact that Kakashi's isn't even fully realized.
"Yes!" He lifted a kunai. "This is your last battle. Ever."
Who knew Kaka-Sensei was so evil?
Haku just barely got to make the 'killing' blow himself and halt Kakashi before he really killed him.
"Heh, you were right; it was his last battle." Haku-ahem- I mean the hunter nin from the mist said.
Kakashi went and checked Zaza's vitals and came out negative. Haha, sure.
"Thank you, I've been tracking Zabuza for a long time, waiting for this chance to take him down."
Very well played, Haku.
"By your mask I see that you're a tracker ninja from the Village Hidden in the Mist."
I snorted and tried to cover it with a cough, earning me a raised eyebrow from Kakashi and a dry look from the tracker ninja from the Village Hidden in the Mist.
"Impressive. You're well informed." I swatted a hand on my mouth to keep in my giggles and Haku sent me a dirty look.
"A tracker!" Naruto acted like he knew what they were talking about. He probably had no clue.
"Naruto! You don't even know what that is!" Sakura nagged as I rolled my eyes at her. "You missed the lesson on it as usual. Tracker ninja have a special role. Try coming to class sometime!"
Did she have to be so cruel about it?
"That's correct." Haku told us. "I'm a member of the elite tracking unit of the Village Hidden in the Mist. It was my duty to stop Zabuza."
Ha! Yeah, sure it was.
Naruto looked mad when I looked over to see if the other kids were okay, in fact I think if he keeps looking that red he'll explode... I hope he doesn't- it would be pretty hard to clean out of clothes, I know from experience. Damn bomber.
He ran over to the scene looking between our sensei and the 'tracker nin'.
"What is this?! Who do you think you are!?" I think that's what Naruto screamed finally. "Did. You. Hear. Me!"
I don't know, you might want to run that by him one more time; it's not like you screamed it or anything.
"Easy, Naruto. He's not the enemy." Kakashi stood up.
"That's not the point!" Naruto grunted. "Did you see what he did, just like that?! Zabuza was huge and powerful, like some kind of monster! And this kid, who's no bigger than me, he brought down Zabuza with just one move, like it was nothing. I mean, what does that make us? We're just fumbling around! We don't know anything! How can I accept that!?"
"You pretty much looked that way before he came around." I mumbled and Sasuke, who'd at some point worked his way to my side, half glared, half smirked at me.
"Well, even if you don't accept it, still, it did happen, Naruto." He placed an understanding hand on the boy's head. "In this world there are kids younger than you, and yet, stronger than me."
I could've sworn all eyes went to me at the second sentence.
Haku swirled down next to Zaza's body and placed him over his shoulder. The dead body grunted and I smirked.
"You're struggle is over for now. I must deal with the remains, there are many secrets in this body. Please excuse me; farewell." The mist nin told us after quickly looking at me. He left.
Translation: Zaza and I will be back to attack you later and it will be much harder. I need to go heal him now. See you later!
....
We started to make our way to Tazuna's place again but just wait... I know someone's going to collapse. It's not going to me and my bet's Kakashi by the way he's looking.
Three...
Hehe, he's swaying~!
Two...
Hmm, there goes his remaining Chakra~!
One...
There he goes.
I zipped over and caught him carefully and kept walking, acting as if nothing was out of the ordinary and ignoring the panicked stares of my teammates.
"Kakashi-Sensei!" Is it just me or is screaming the names of people that're in actual danger the only thing she does. I think she did the same thing when everyone was fighting Zaza.
"Relax." I told her bluntly. "He just used too much chakra."
