It was near the end of the day when I realized I was going on a date with Jack. Then I realized, I didn't know what to wear to this date.

The bell rang and I rushed out of class to meet Jack in the front of campus. I saw him pushing through people to get to his car and I ran after him.

I was shoving through people to get to him. "Jack!" I shouted which earned a few glares, but I ignored them.

His face lit up as I finally reached him. "Hey what do I wear?" I asked out of breath from running. He shrugged, "Casual but nice casual."

I nodded and he got into his car and left. I had a smile on my face all the way home until I pulled into the driveway.

My parents won't let me leave the house, especially on a date, especially a date with Jack. I opened tha door to something strange, no screaming.

I walked into the kitchen and there was a note on the fridge that says: We went on a business trip to Singapore, money and card is on your bed. See you in 6 months.

I smiled knowing that I could do anything and I didn't have to listen to them fight. I went upstairs and began getting ready.

I ended up wearing khaki skinny jeans, a red button up shirt, and paired with my red vans. I straightened my hair and pinned back my bangs.

I put on make-up and finished right as I heard the doorbell. I went downstairs and opened the door to see Jack with a single white rose.

He stared at me for a moment. "Oh gosh, is there something on my face?" I asked while frantically wiping my face. He laughed. "Yeah its called beauty."

I felt my face heat up and I looked down at my shoes. "Where are we going?" I asked. "About that..." he said holding up a blindfold.

"Nopee, I did not do my makeup and hair just to have it messed up by that," I said sassily. He laughed again, "Can I just cover your eyes then?" he asked. I nodded and we began to walk.

"Take a left, now step up there's a curb, stairs," he said as he guided me to wherever we were going. "Okay," he released my eyes and I stood in awe.

There was a blanket, a basket, and lights hanging from the lower branches of the trees. We sat down and he dug through the basket.

"I hope macaroni, kool-aid, and cookies is fine," he said nervously. "Its the best meal I can possibly think of Jack," I said back with a smile.

We sat in silence until he finally talked. "So I came here to apologize..." he trailed off. I nodded nervously.

"Well I remember that day in 5th grade. Tucker was beating me up and you saw. You tried to help me, you really did. You got hurt. When he hurt you, I took it as I hurt you. You got hurt because of me and I couldn't stand it. I said all those things so you wouldn't get hurt by me anymore. Now I realize my mistake, I realize I hurt you more. And I'm so sorry for that."

I stood up with tears in my eyes and he stood up too. I jumped into him and I hugged him so tight.

We sat there hugging and I was crying into his shoulder. "I forgive you," I said quietly.

I missed him. I missed him so much. I really really missed him. This is just what I need.

He is what I need.
