Chapter-1 The Lost Souls

Middle school- class 8

Senjal (P.O.V)

People say that it only takes 4 minutes to fall in love with someone. I keep on wondering, will I ever fall in LOVE?

Ugh.........Today is the last day of winter vacation and I still have so much homework to do. I wonder if my friends Zaira Welcker and Ruby Garnier have completed their homework. I better ask them. 

~Group Chat~

Senjal: Hey guys!

Zaira: Hey girl, wassup?

Ruby: Hey.

Sometimes I think, even though Zaira and Ruby are my friends, I feel like this friendship thing between us is fake. Well, atleast I think that it's between them and me.

Senjal: Have you completed your homework?

Ruby: Oh come on, don't remind me of that useless piece of trash.I don't understand what is wrong with all the schools. Like seriously, who wants to waste their time doing homework instead of chilling in vacations.

Zaira: Yeah, anyways I have not done my homework and I have something really important to do right now so see you guys in school.

Ruby: Well, I am too lazy to complete those trash so I ain't coming to school tomorrow. 

Senjal: Ok.........Bye guys........see you tomorrow.

See, this is what I was talking about. Alright, I am too tired to do anything right now so I will pass my time how I usually do. 

I walk across my room to switch of all the lights except the one light beside my bed. And in case you didn't know, I have fear of darkness and ghosts. After switching off the lights, I plop down onto my bed and started going through Tinder. Yeah, I know that I am 13 and that I am too young to use these kinda apps but what can you do to control the hormones of an adolescent kid.

I swipe all the people to the right but one name caught my eye. It read "ShawnTheSheep". Wow! I didn't know that such people existed in Tinder who would keep a name of a cartoon. It was unique and it piqued my curiosity. I did what I wanted to do and swiped it to the left.

Shawn (P.O.V)

 I was just laying in my bed with all my stuff scattered around my room. I was using Tinder on my phone and suddenly a notification popped up telling me that I got a companion. 

I saw the name and it was kinda interesting. The name was "Iloveme". I started conversing with the person and I eventually fell asleep without asking this person their name.

~The next day~

Finally, the day arrived when I can again hang out with my buddies in the school. I can't wait to see them again. Wow, I really sounded like a silly little girl right now. Oh well, time to go back to school.

Senjal (P.O.V)

Beep Beep.........Beep Beep.........Beep Beep.........

I slowly opened my eyes and switched off the alarm. I got off my bed and headed to the bathroom. After doing my business, I dressed up in my school uniform and headed downstairs where my mom was yelling at me to come and have breakfast. I quickly ate my breakfast and stepped out of my house to go to school.

Well, here goes nothing. I hope that I fall in love or someone falls in love with me.

After half an hour, I reached my school and went inside the class where I saw Zaira talking with other girls. I approached her and asked her

Senjal: Hey Zaira, have you done the vacation homework.

Zaira: Yeah, I did it all last night.

Senjal: What?? you could have told me that yesterday so that we could do it together.

Zaira: Sorry, it was late at night and I thought you might have fallen asleep so I didn't disturb you.

Senjal: Seriou-

I was cut off by thebell ringing and the teacher entered the class and everyone assembled to their own seat.

Teacher: Everyone! I want you to submit your homeworks now.

Zaira went to the teacher's podium and submitted her homework along with the other students. The teacher was staring at me so I pretended that I was looking for my homework inside my bag.

Senjal: Oh for the love of cheesecakes......

The class erupts in loud laughter and I look around confused.

Teacher: Ms Sen, can you kindly shut up and submit the homework.

Senjal: Umm.......it's just that I......uh....my dog ate it and it was really disgusting as it was covered in slimy spit an-

Teacher: That is some really good excuse that I am gonna believe, Ms Sen.

I laugh awkwardly thinking that he accepted my excuse. Hah, what a foolish teacher.

Teacher: Now, Ms Sen, would you step out of the classroom and stand in the hallway or do I have to give you a formal invitation.

I say nothing and walk towards the door and step out of the classroom. I stood out in the hallway and started thinking about the person who I talked to in Tinder.

Shawn (P.O.V)

I was walking with my buddies to the computer lab but I started to daydream while walking. I wasn't looking where I was going and bumped into a girl in the hallway. I looked at her in the eyes and she was looking back at me. 

I looked away from her and mumbled a sorry and walked away. I could feel her staring at me. But the most important thing that I didn't realize at that time, it was that I developed a crush on her that would grow strong as the time passes.

Senjal (P.O.V.)

I was spacing off in the hallway when suddenly someone bumped into me. I looked up and saw a guy who looked............so hot...............uh...I mean...what.....what the heck am I saying?

I looked at him in the eyes and we stayed like that for a minute that just felt like seconds. He mumbled a sorry to me and left. I kept staring at his back as he was walking away.

Wow, his looks so.........

That moment I didn't realize something that went exploding inside my heart. I didn't realize that I had fallen in love with him and that it would change my future completely.

But after two years everything seems to make sense when I met my two best friends.
