This story will be a few chapters long. This is a Merder story based off of season 4 ep. 4 only they will be going on their trip to the wine country. This is rated M but more on the romantic side.

It was almost the weekend finally after a hard work week for both Meredith and Derek, but when wasn't it? They had been broken up for a short time, but always had the urge to be with each other, sexually anyways. Derek was in love with Meredith, but she was not ready to settle down. He was willing to wait for as long as it takes, but how long will that be?

*Elevator dings*

"This isn't my floor?" Meredith said to herself as she pushed the button to close the doors when suddenly.

"Hey." Derek held the doors open with his suitcase all smiles on his face. She had a smirk on her face like she was trapped with this beautiful man in an elevator where they shared many sweet moments together. He wore a light blue button up shirt covered by a long black trench coat and jeans, his dark dreamy hair slicked back.

"You wanna go away with me this weekend?" He asked looking deep into her eyes, he was so happy to see her.

"Why would I want to go away with you?" She asked in a sassy tone.

"Because of this." He leans in to kiss her softly taking her by surprise. She didn't pull away, she never pulled away whenever he kissed her. She loved his lips on hers.

She leaned back a little still holding onto his ripped arms. "We didn't go away when we were a couple. Now we're not a couple, and not couples have no reason to go away together."

"Meredith, you're not paying attention. I'm talking about 48 uninterrupted hours of this." He swept his lips across hers with slight tongue parting her lips, she took him in returning the kiss passionately without breaths.

"Where would we go?" She asked out of breath.

"Wine country." He answers kissing her again and then licking his bottom lip where she had left some tasty lip gloss.

"Wine country sounds like a couples' place." She hesitated, but still kept her gaze with his.

"Well, there's wine, there's country, and you wouldn't see any of it. We'd be in bed all weekend." He explained while kissing her in between each breath.

"Oh, a weekend of sex." She said excitedly raising an eyebrow in approval.

"Now you're paying attention." He rubbed the right side of her face.

"Well, I would have to get someone to cover for me." She looked up as the elevator stopped at her floor and began to walk out.

"Okay, so you're in?" He stood there with a sparkle in his eyes waiting for her answer.

"48 uninterrupted hours of this. I'm in." She smiled at him while turning to head in the other direction leaving him with a sexual look cause she knew he would be all hers for two days and no one to bother them.

"Meet me in the lobby at eight!" He shouted hoping she heard him as the elevator doors started to close.

"Oh god." He sighed to himself, he couldn't wait for the day to be over to have her in his arms in bed, the shower, and perhaps the jacuzzi.

The day was nearly ending as Meredith stares at the clock in the resident room biting down her nails. She had gotten Alex to cover her Saturday shift.

"Why do you look like you're about to attack the clock?" Cristina asked Mer as she walked into to room after finishing a surgery.

"McDreamy and I have a long weekend ahead." She grinned a sexy grin.

"Really? Oh okay so I guess you'll be getting McDreamied all weekend then?" Cristina laughed tilting her head back making a funny face.

"Cristina!" Meredith shoved her. "And yes you're right." She covered her face. "I can't get enough of him." Cristina looked at her confused.

"Won't this ruin your relationship with him if you continue like this?" She asked Mer trying to convince her this isn't a good idea.

"I don't know Cristina, I love being with him. Ugh why can't I commit already? He's perfect for me. Maybe during this trip we can talk and who knows what might happen. I still love him."

"Just be careful not to hurt him. I know you Mer, but he's so in love with you like a puppy and it's sad sometimes, but if you continue this....just make the right choice." Cristina told Mer as she turned and walked out the room smiling, but still giving her the look of just think about it.

Eight o' clock arrives.

Meredith makes her way to the lobby dressed in her normal clothes wearing a pair of denim jeans and a button up purple long sleeve shirt and a black coat in one arm. She looked around for Derek knowing that he's rarely late. While she waited for him she thought for a second wondering what she would tell him during this trip. They hadn't been broken up that long, but she didn't want to lose him. Sure having break up sex in all on call rooms and closets in the hospital was wildly fun. Long nights in his trailer cuddled up in his bed with many blankets to keep them warm for those rainy nights, she never wanted to leave his side. She knew that if she wanted him for the rest of her life she would have to let go of the past and open up to him. To trust him.

Meredith stood in the lobby looking at the rain fall down on the parked cars as she felt soft lips peck her neck gently. She jumped a little, but knew who it was, she turned around.

"Hey you." She said giving him a quick kiss.

"You ready to go?" Derek asked stroking her right cheek, she blushed and her face became warm beneath his fingers.

"Yes, I am." She answered placing her hand on his arm as he let it out for her to hold onto since he was a gentleman. He leads her to his black BMW and opens up the passenger door for her, she turns to look at him.

"Oh we have to go by my house real quick so I can grab some clothes..."

"Mer, you won't need any clothes." He smirked running his hands through her now wet hair from the pouring rain.

"I'm serious Derek." She giggled and got into the car before they got drenched.

"Okay." He groaned.

Next chapter will be posted shortly after this, I know this was a little short, but I need to build up the next chapter which will be longer. Thanks for reading!
