Arthit was trying to not feel out of sorts now that the dinner was over and he was again left alone. This was the fourth evening this week when Kong came to their appointed dinner's but left right after.
Because of the CEO's duties Kong had taken over from his father, he was spending so much time in the office, and with Arthit's own work, they barely even saw each other. Of course, he could not really blame Kong for being a good CEO, and working as hard as he could to fill his father's seat. Especially when there were so many major shareholders, who had already started circulating the rumours of Kongpob not being as good as his father, too young and so on. So to say that taking over the place wasn't really stressful would have been a lie. That still didn't mean, that Arthit was happy about not seeing Kong, almost at all.Though he didn't get to put all the blame on Kongpob. That was only one of the reasons. He tried to push all the depressing thoughts as far back in his mind as was possible. He didn't want to spend every rarely offered free moment, they had together, on fighting. Arthit knew, that his demanding personality was somewhat a challenge. Though Kong had been incredibly patient and awesome with him. There seemed to be this dilemma for Arthit. He had always wondered, how can someone understand and love him this much. Wasn't it a waste of someone feelings, if you rather had to try and guess what the other was thinking, or how he was feeling at any given moment and then act accordingly. Kong amazed him, and his patience, though appreciated, scared Arthit sometimes. Was it forever? Would it really last long enough?
One Saturday when Arthit was with their parents and they ate the lunch he had made, again just three of them. Arthit obviously seemed so down with his mood, that his mom and dad were really quiet and though tried to start new thoughts, didn't get the conversation really going as they wished. When they had finished eating and Arthit volunteered to wash the dishes, his mother came to help him. At one moment she couldn't stand the silence anymore and tried to talk about something, but Arthit acted as he didn't even hear her. Not out of malice or anything, but he was thinking of how much he missed Kong, that he barely even registered, that mom was talking until he felt a sharp pain in his side. "Aaah! Did you just stab me."
"Stab my ass. You have not paid attention to me for the last 15 minutes. Do you think it's fun to talk with my son, who doesn't even bother to listen to, what I have to say?" Arthit was a bit dismayed."I did not, not listen to you. I just had no idea, that, what you were talking about would be so so important." That was rewarded with a splash of water towards his face, which he barely could reflect. "I'm sorry. I just can't stop thinking. About Kong. It's the second weekend we eat without him. Some days I just want to march into the office and drag him home, but that would be unruly and unwise." Arthit seemed so sad, that his mother took a hold of his shoulders and said with almost an a mischief smile. "You should know, that I totally support the marching in Kong's office and dragging him home. You should know, that I have experienced more than anyone else, the effects, that office has on one's marriage life." Arthit watched his knowing smile and laughed out loud to that. "I guess you do. Were you also moody at times like this? And maybe even unfairly unforgiving, at dad's late-night meetings and business trips?"
Oh, you have no idea. I threw such hissy fits and tantrums, when he went off into some other country for a meeting, not to talk about, when he went with some female secretary or such. I could be a real monster. But I have an excuse to be a woman, you don't." Arthit almost hissed with indignation, but then he understood the hint. He wasn't a woman. So he couldn't throw an honest to god hissy fit, well not like a woman anyway. So in his logic, the only thing to do would be, to act like a man. Arthit had a plan forming in his head when his mom grabbed his hand and dragged him somewhere. "Where are we going?""Oh, I just want to show you something. It could cost me some of Kong's goodwill, but it can also be of use to you, today or later." She smiled like there was a secret only she knew. There was a room near Kong's bedroom, Arthit had never had a reason to go there, but his mother stopped before it and she nodded to it, for Arthit to open the door. Arthit hesitated just for a bit, but then opened the door. There was nothing, much. The room seemed to be used for collecting something. There were so many cardboard boxes, that he couldn't understand, what could his mother possibly want to show him. "You should know, that he was a bit insane at that time. We didn't intervene at that time, but before you go to him tonight, you should look into the boxes. He hasn't shown you this, but I think you should see, how much he missed you." She said that, and then she left Arthit alone.
Arthit was suddenly a bit scared. What was he going to find in them? He stepped into the room and opened the first box and froze. He never imagined this. Then he opened another box and another one. Finally, he leaned against a wall and a small smile lit his face. Without a goodbye to his parents, Arthit flew out of the house and to his car. He got to Kong's company's building in record time. Probably the evenings thinner traffic also helped. He didn't let himself think about the way he was going to talk to Kong, but he was sure, there wasn't any problem in his mind anymore. However long they needed to be away from each other or how many women were in their company. He would never let it bother him again. The need one felt for another, was obviously mutual, right now it was time to show the need, later he could again show the trust.
Arthit stepped outside of the elevator, to the empty office. Almost every light in the building was off. Only on this floor, in the big office, the lights were on. Arthit stepped quickly towards the door on Kong's office. He knocked just enough, to stop the argument inside the room, opened the door and found three older men, with slightly startled faces, watch at him. Just before any of them had a chance to open their mouth, Kong gasped in surprise. "Arthit! What are you doing here?" The other men watched at Kong, who had got up from his desk and walked towards Arthit. "Thank you, gentlemen, for enlightening me, with the prospects of this project and I think we can talk about it on Monday."
"What? On Monday? We were supposed to have a meeting tomorrow, with the engineering staff and maybe even the ground examiners." One of the men seemed really opposed to the idea of letting Arthit take his love out of here and seemed to have plans with him in the weekend. It seemed Arthit had to fight for his ownership of this man, who was looking into his eyes like he hadn't breather fresh air for a long time, and now somebody had shown up and opened the window. "No, I think this will not do. It seems I have left my husband alone for too long and if you don't want to see something as indecent as me kissing my husband in 5 seconds, then I suggest you all go home to your own wife's."
Kong stepped towards Arthit and the men just with some small cough's scurried quickly out of the office and Arthit could only barely hear about, 'so that's his husband?' and then they were alone and all Arthit could do, was to grab a hold on to Kong's shoulder with his left hand, when he was kissed as someone was starving. Arthit slipped his fingers around the nape of Kong's neck and then brushed them through his hair. He had always loved the feeling. But Kong also had to reach around Arthit waist, because only he knew, how to kiss Arthit until his legs gave away. Without realizing Arthit's bac was pushed into the wall behind him and he was kissing Kong back with the same ferocious desire he felt from him. When Kong finally moved his lips down onto his collar and started to open his cuff buttons, he breathed out and using a bit of strength, Arthit pulled his hair, so involuntarily Kong was forced to remove his lips from Arthit's collarbone. He watched Arthit through a haze and curiosity shone through the mist, he was not used to Arthit stopping him. "I want to talk to you about something."
Still a bit breathless. "Yeah? About what?"
"I want to go on a vacation tomorrow, for a day."
"Fine by me. I told the guy's I'm not coming here tomorrow."Arthit smiled cunningly. "Good. I have a surprise for you." And he pulled Kong's surprised face to him and used all of his unspent sexual desire to push back his inhibitions, that would have in any other time stopped him to get naked, in an office, in the middle of the night. To have sex with his husband.
