After dinner we returned to Hyungwon's bedroom. My uniform had almost completely dried, however after sitting around in the damp clothing I knew that I would probably catch a cold. I could already feel my nose blocking and I started to sniffle.
Luckily Hyungwon didn't comment on it, and we decided to take some selfies while we were together.

My phone was soon blasted with notifications. I had at least a hundred new followers, but instead of scrolling through them I turned my phone on silent and walked over to the window. Putting my hand on the glass, I could feel the persistent rain drumming against it.
"It's not going to stop anytime soon, is it?" Hyungwon spoke from his bed where he was sprawled out, still taking selfies.
"It's don't expect so. I've checked the weather forecast and it looks like it's gonna last all night. Hey, Hyungwon?"
"Mhm?" He continued to adjust his camera angle and reposition his hair.
I didn't know why I was going to ask him this, and it would probably come off as rude, but I would ask anyway. I had been thinking about it for a while.
"I hope you don't mind me saying this, but when I first saw you, I thought you were going to be really shy and quiet. I mean I still think that you are, but... after I've gotten to know you, you seem pretty normal." I already regretted my choice of wording, but I couldnt exactly stop. It just came out. "But you're still really shy around strangers, except for when Minhyuk is with you. I was just wondering... is there something I should know about?"
I internally kicked myself. That's not what I had wanted to say at all. I wanted to ask him why he was so shy, reassure him that nobody would judge him and that if they did then I would be there to stand up to them, that he should be confident in himself. I just sounded ignorant and nosy.
What the hell is my problem? Why can't I communicate like a normal human?
Hyungwon looked at me for a few seconds, shocked by what I had said. I didn't blame him. His look turned to irritation, but I could tell that he didn't take it too badly. I cringed to myself, then realised that I had also cringed at him. Now he just seemed confused.
"I-I didn't mean that. I don't think that you're-"
Hyungwon's face turned into a slightly sad but amused smile, and he sat up on his bed. "I'm not autistic or anything, if that's what you're implying. I've got that one before. I'm just shy around strangers. Minhyuk helps with that. There's nothing more to it."

I felt my cheeks burning and I nodded, not meeting his eyes. The conversation ended there.
I wasn't going to lie to myself, but that had crossed my mind before. Even if it was true of course it wouldn't matter to me, but he didn't know that. Anyway, he had said no and I would take his word for it.
After a while of not saying much, we were both tired and decided to go to bed. Hyungwon showed me the guest room, where I wished him a slightly awkward goodnight. I stripped down to my boxers and wrapped myself in the cool blankets, where I fell asleep almost instantly.
I awoke with a jolt as a clap of thunder shook the house. I shoved my head under the pillow, irritated by the loud noise, but it continued and I was unable to get back to sleep. I checked my phone - 00:23am. It wasn't even that late but it felt like I had already slept for ages. I propped myself up on the bed and flicked through my instagram feed. I recognised the username of someone who had recently followed me, so I checked their page. It was Minhyuk.

I could understand why Hyungwon was attracted him; he definitely ticked all the visual boxes. Prettier than me. I realised that even if he was single, Hyungwon could definitely do better than me anyway.
As I scrolled to the bottom of the page, I clicked on a post from a while ago which caught my eye.

I didn't bother reading the comments. I knew what I would find.
Thunder shook the house once again, and although I hated to admit it to myself, it made me nervous. I snuggled back down into bed and tried to get back to sleep.
//so that dragged I'm sorry. I have more stuff but I want to put it into the next chapter. Don't like thisone... why am I never satisfied? Lol if I spent a good week perfecting each chapter it would be much better but Idon't have the patience. This took about an hour. Anyway tired as fuq so Ishould probably sleep.
