Jace and Clary moving on

Jace and Clary were sitting in a booth at Taki's, sharing an order of fries. Jace had his arm over Clary's shoulder as they talked."I can't wait until this big surprise you have planed for tonight," Clary said as she smiled up at him. He smiled back at her."First we have to go see your mom and Luke to let them know that I'll be taking for the night. I don't want your mom thinking that I just kidnapped you. That will just add to the list of things she hates about me," Jace explained.

He knew that he was not one of Jocelyn's favorite people. Still he will not stop at trying to get her to like him. For some reason he, the brave shadowhunter, Jace Herandale was afraid of his girlfriends mother. He had to get her to at least trust him with her daughters life for his plans to work. And he had to do it tonight.

"Well I still can't waite for tonight," Clary said as she rested her head on his shoulder. She still couldn't believe that he was all hers. Jace could of had any girl he'd want but he chose her."Well we had better head out now before it gets too dark," Jace said as he took his arm off of her shoulder and slid out of the booth. He threw a twenty on the table and held out his hand for Claey to take.

They were on their way to Clary's house now and as they walked, Clary looked up and saw the beautiful colors of a dusk lit sky. Oh how she wished she could draw and walk at the same time. She couldn't even look at the sky and walk at the same time either. Because since she wasn't paying attention to where she was stepping, she tripped on a rock and nearly fell forward. She would of kissed the pavement had Jace not been there to grab her so she didn't fall.

"Let me guess. Got lost in your thoughts again," Jace said with an obvious tone in his voice. All Clary could do was nod. Ever since they defeated Sebastian a few months ago, she could finally relax and think about living a normal life. Instead of one at was wrecked by war that your phsycoic father and demonic brother started." Were you thinking about your stunningly attractive boyfriend?" He asked with that wicked grinn on his face Clary loved so much."Actually I was thinking about the sky. Its a shame how there is so many different beautiful colors in the sky for only a moment of time," Clary replied."I wish I could see things the way you do. Maybe some day you could teach me how to draw so I can see kings in your view," he said softly as he stared down into her beautiful green eyes.

She couldn't help but blush a little. Clary couldn't take it anymore. She reached up and twinded her arms around his neck, pulling him down and meeting his lips with hers. He kissed her back with a little more passion than the first and they kissed for a while until they broke apart for air." We should probably go before mom has a heart attack," Clary said. Jace nodded his head and they continued walking with their hands locked together all the way there.
