Jace and Clary moving on

packing

Jocelyn and Luke were already in Jocelyn's car heading to the movies when the packing began. Clary was in her room setting the boxes on her bed when she got a text. No surprise as to who it was . The text came from Jace.

J: On our way with Izzy, Alec, Simon and Magnus. Be there soon. Love you

Clary texts back

C: Ok see you soon

Ten minutes later, there was a knock on the door. Clary quickly walked to the front door to let her friends in. Jace, Alec, Simon, Izzy and Magnus all stood on her porch, waiting to be invited in. What was the surprise, was that they were all in old torn up clothes, even Isabelle." Well are you going to invite us in so we can get you to the institute?" Jace asked.

Clary stood there still astonished at the fact that she was going to move in with Jace. She nodded her head and moved out of the way so they could come in. When they all came in, they almost immediately went to Clary's room. Isabelle ran towards Clary to hug her and squealed," I can't believe you're gonna be living next to me. This is gonna be so much fun." After she let her go and ran to catch up to the rest, Jace came from behind and wrapped his arms around her. He leaned down to get closer to her ear and he whispered," Are you as thrilled to finally move in together as I am?"

Clary leaned back to rest her head on his shoulder and replied," My heart is still racing from when you asked me last night. I just can't wait to get everything settled. Than after today we relax and be together." They both smiled and stayed like that until Jace leaned in and kissed her neck, causing her to gasp. He would always make her do that whenever he would kiss her like she was the most enchanting thing in the world. When he moved his lips down to where her neck met her shoulder was when she had enough before things got too out of hand.

She turned in his arms and stared into his golden eyes." We should get in there before Izzy or Magnus decides to throw away some of my stuff," Clary said as she grabbed her boyfriends hand and lead him to her room. Half an hour later, everything she needed was ready to go. "So should I make a portal or do you guys have a better idea'" Clary asked. Everybody just shrugged and said sure. They could fight a demon army from dusk til dawn without a whimper but you could tell that they were tired. Clary placed her stele on the wall and did her thing. Once the portal was open everyone grabbed a box and walked through.

The last boxes were ready to go when Jocylen and Luke came home. Jace and Clary waited for them before they went through the portal, so Clary could say goodbye. When Jocylen saw her daughter, she gave her a great, big, mamma bear , hug and whispered into her daughters ear," I'll miss you so much." Clary whispered back, "I'll miss you too." When they broke apart, Jocylen looked at Jace and Was now very serious. "Take very good care of my daughter now," Jocylen spoke sternly. Jace just nodded and said," I will protect her with my life." Clary walked up to Luke now and gave him a hug too. "See you around Clary," he said as they broke apart. Clary grinned,"Absolutely," she said. Clary walked back to Jace's side and grabbed the box that was waiting for her. Clary looked back at her mom and the only father Clary ever knew and said,"Goodbye". They waved goodbye to her and Clary could see that he rmom was trying so hard to hold back the tears that were threatening to pore out. Clary looked at Jace and smiled. "Ready?" he asked as he grabbed the last box. Clary only nodded. She still couldn't believe this was happening as she and the love of her life walked through the portal to the start of their new life together.
