Y/n POV

"Omg y/n I have great news" Kathy said as she stood up from the couch and walked up to me.

"What is it" I asked

" your mum sent me a video of you acting in a school show and you were amazing so and I saw that they are auditioning for a play and you need to audition, because I kinda said you would and your audition is at 1:45 on Saturday" Kathy said it all so fast, she was so excited but I was nervous I've not acted in forever.

" Kathy I've not acted for anyone in years"

"Come one y/n please for me"

I think about it for a few seconds, I have nothing to lose so why not "okey then but you are coming with me"

"YESSSSSSSSSSS"

——-at the audition——-

I was waiting in the waiting room with Kathy. The play wasn't actually a play it was a musical and actually one of my favourite musicals of all time Dear Evan Hansen. I was auditioning for the character Zoe Murphy.

I heard my name be called out to go next. I went up and they asked if I can sing and act. They wanted me to sing one of the songs in the musical called requiem it's a really good song and I know almost all the words off by heart. I sang the song and got an applause after. They got the guy who was going to play Evan to come up on stage to test my acting.

They seemed happy with my performance and said they would phone me for more information about if I got the part or not.

It's been about a week since the audition and I keep on looking at my phone waiting on a phone call from them. I was drawing on my iPad when I heard my phone ring, I saw it was that theatre company so I picked up the phone. " we are happy to inform you that you got the part in our show Dear Evan Hansen as Zoe Murphy. Pleas come in next Monday so you can practice your part with the other members of the cast. Thank you and we are looking forward to seeing you on Monday" said the woman on the other end of the phone.

" KATHY I GOT THE PART" I shouted from my room. I heard her run down the corridor and in to my room, she hugged me and we went out for dinner to celebrate.

I phoned my mum to tell her I got the part and I also phoned my dad after.

I went on instagram after and posted how excited.

I went to sleep after that because I was so tired.
