"Flash we've been at this forever! I Wanna go home!"

"It's 5:30 in the afternoon and we left about half an hour ago. Stop with your excuses."

"Look maybe this whole pro Baseball player thing is just a mirage."

"Do you even know what that means?"

"That's not the point, and don't change the subject!"

"You know honestly you're just making this harder than it has to be. I'm just trying to help you out. Besides, don't you like playing Baseball?"

"Well yeah but I never knew how hard it was gonna be."

"That doesn't mean you should give up on your dream. Maybe I'm just not the right person to coach you."

"Yeah, but who else is there?"

The next day, the doorbell sounded. With Flash Sentry answering it, the athlete invited himself in.

"Glad you could make it."

"No problem man, I wasn't really that busy this afternoon. So where is the little squirt?"

"In his room. Just straight up those stairs and turn right. He's all yours."

Racing up the stairs to First Base's room door. Soarin cracked open the open the door. Finding that he had his ear buds in, Soarin put his whistle to his mouth, holding it in for a slight second. As it blew, Base jumped. "Ahh!"

"You're not getting anywhere like that."

"Soarin?"

"I only know one."

"What are you doing here?"

"Better question is, what are you doing here?"

"Um, I live here?"

"Point taken."

"Not that I want you to leave but why are you here?

"Questions are for later actions are for now! Let's hustle, hustle, hustle!" Soarin chanted blowing on his whistle again. with First Base hopping to his feet, He and Soarin joined one another on a ride to the nearest ballpark. When they arrived, First Base stepped out with his proper equipment and attire.

"Do I really have to wear this? I'm not even a professional."

"You gotta feel the moment. This is your future. Your time to shine, you're the eye of the tiger!"

"Alright I get it."

"Good, now give me ten laps around the feild let's go!" He commanded blowing on his whistle again. Moments passed, coming back exhausted and a little lite headed, Base sat out on the dugot bench, taking a breather. Soarin approached him with a water bottle.

"Not bad."

"I think...you have...totally...lost it. " He said breathing heavily.

"Would you rather it be Rainbow Dash coaching you?"

"...What's next?"

"When you're ready, I'm gonna show you how to swing."

"So, how'd it go?" Flash questioned after Soarin and his little brother came back home through the front door. First Base whimpered exhausted.

"My arms hurt, he replied to his big brother."

"Alright kid, go eat something." Flash directed him, turning his sibling's direction towards the kitchen.

"You know I only have one of those. What did you do to him?"

"Nothing, we just practiced, a lot. Also, you might wanna keep him away from anything loud for a while."

"Sure thing. So, what do I owe you?"

"You got a fridge?"

"Yeah."

"Lead the way."
