"Flash you said you were gonna play with me!" Reggie complained outside her elder brother's room door.
"In a minuet Reggie." He responded while sitting depressed on his bed, staring at the blank screen of his cell phone.
"You said that an hour ago!"
"Regina I just need time ok?!" He raised his voice. Gasping in fright as she backed away from the door and took off to her room in tears. "Reggie what's..." Getting cut off, she raced pass her older sister without a word as she was about to enter her bedroom. Pauly thought for a moment after staring at Flash's bright white room door. She rolled her eyes as she scoffed.
"I said I need time!"
"Flash open the door."
"...Door's locked." He responded, hiding his depressed tone.
Finally turning the knob, she invited herself in. "Guess the lock's busted." She smirked. Sitting beside her brother on his bed after pushing him over to make room, he groaned.
"What are you doing here?"
"Uh I live here." She joked.
"Ok above all the obvious reasons why are you here?"
"Why did you yell at Reggie?"
"I didn't yell. I just...raised my voice."
"Oh, so there's a difference now?"
"...I'm so stupid."
"Well you're not wrong."
"Not helping."
"I'm kidding, look, to be honest you're driving us all bananas with this whole Twilight thing."
"I know but..."
"Flash, enough! You can do way better then her! You're better than this! You need to get back out there and focus!"
"I will once you stop shaking me!" He yelled back.
"Sorry."
"It's cool, but look, I gotta go to work so, take care of your brother and sister ok?"
"You're the boss."
Before leaving with his wallet, keys, and phone. Flash messed up Pauly's hair on his way out. Rolling her eyes, she watched her brother make his exit down the steps and through the front door. Not too long after, she made her way to Reggie's room. Once swinging her door open, she found her sister sitting criss cross on her bed spread while holding a stuffed animal close to her chest.
"You know he didn't mean to...raise his voice at you." Pauly began before sitting beside her sister.
"Why can't I hear that from him?" Reggie responded without making direct eye contact. Swinging her legs as they dangled off her bed.
"...Do you really want me to answer that or would you rather be playing video games with me and your brother?"
"I wanna play video games!"
"That a girl."
...
"Total is $150."
"But I have a coupon. Which you gave to me yesterday!"
"Then you should've used it yesterday!"
"Can't you just honor it this one time?!
"Look man; it's 150 or no deal!"
"Then I guess it isn't!" The male costumer shouted, slamming the expired coupon on the front desk, and began to walk with anger.
"Another satisfied customer." Flash Sighed as he rested his head in his palm.
"You know Flash, sales aren't doing so well." His manager complained after approaching his side while watching the disappointment of the costumer leave out the double doors.
"I know."
"I don't know what's going on, and I'm pretty sure I don't care, but whatever it is, this attitude needs to stop or next time it's gonna be the real thing!" He scowled. Leaving Flash to think, he slammed his face flat on the front desk while groaning in agony.
"Um, excuse me?"
"If you're looking for hell it's all around you." He mumbled.
"Um no, thank you. I just, wanted to buy these...guitar strings."
"That'll be...Fluttershy?" He asked on his journey of lifting his head. Widening his eyes at her appearance.
"Hi."
"Wow, sorry about that...what I said I..."
"It's fine, I know you didn't mean it."
"Yeah I...It's just, I'm not completely over the whole breakup thing." He apologized scratching the back of his head.
"I know it's hard, but just know that as a friend...I'm here for you."
"Thanks, I appreciate it. So uh, I thought you play the Tambourine?"
"Oh yes, but they're not for me. Rainbow Dash sent me. She was just too busy with practice."
"Element of loyalty everyone."
She giggled. "You're silly."
"Thanks, so... are doing anything later?"
"Well yes, I have to get back to work."
"Oh yeah, you own an animal sanctuary huh?"
"You guessed it." She snickered.
"How's that going?"
"Oh, it's just Wonderful and so rewarding. I love working with animals. They're so adorable, and everything we wish we saw in humans."
"You're not wrong." He responded handing her a plastic bag, finishing her purchase. "So, I guess I'll see you later?"
"Oh, sure." She responded confused, taking the bag from Flash. After she left out the front door, Flash gazed, resting his head in his folded arms on the counter as he watched her drive off onto the open road.
...
"Flash you're back!" Reggie ran to her elder brother happily wrapping her arms around him. "I'm sorry, I just didn't understand."
"Don't apologize Reggie, it's my fault. What do you say I make it up to you?"
"No thanks, you do so much already." She squeezed him tighter.
"You seem happier." Pauly pointed out.
Scampering off, Reggie left her brother to conversate with Pauly in private.
"I guess."
"Ok who are you and what did you do with Flash?"
"I moved on."
"What?! Normally it takes weeks for you to get over anything! You're always such a baby when it comes to this! It's like what happened with..."
"Don't say her name." He warned.
"Sorry, so how'd you get over it?"
"Maybe I ran into someone today."
"Really? Who was it? Do I know her?!
"You don't need to know."
"Um, I absolutely need to know."
"Not a chance."
"Flash you tell me, or I'll pull it again."
" Pfft. Yeah, good luck with that." He smirked after he rolled his eyes and walked off.
