LIONS

"Blythe, come on the game's already starting." Trina, one of her childhood best friend told her.

"Wait! I can't find Ethan's jersey eh. Una ka nalang kaya?" She told her without even looking at Trina.

Nawawala kase yung jersey na dapat isusuot niya. She didn't want to disappoint Ethan, nangako pa naman siyang yun ang isusuot niya sa game ng mga kaibigan niya.

"I FOUND IT!" She exclaimed and then wordlessly pulled Trina with her.

Sumakay na sila ng sasakyan with a mixture of sadness and excitement in their eyes. This will be the last game their friends would play since they're in their senior year in high school, sigurado siyang after the graduation and when they enter college a lot of things would change and she feared that. She feared change.

In not less than 20 minutes nakaabot narin sila sa court ng rivalry school nila. Malayo palang sa gym ay rinig na rinig na nila ang hiyawan ng mga tao, since this is the last game of the season mas doble pa ang mga estudyanteng nanunuod.

"Urg! Ang sikip na naman sa loob, ayaw ko pa naman makipagsiksikan" Trina complained at her side. Talagang bakas sa mukha nito ang inis.

"If it wasn't for the boys I wouldn't have come here. Nakakainis!" Padabog pa nitong sabi. Natatawa nalang siya sa kaibigan niya dahil ang init na naman ng ulo nito.

"Hahaha don't be too grumpy. Hali kana, Kath's been flooding my inbox ba't daw ba ang tagal natin"

They went to the entrance and kahit inaasahan na niyang maraming tao she was still surprised at how huge the crowd was. Doble pa ang energing pinapakita nito.

"WOW! I expected that a lot of people would come pero I didn't expect na ganito karami ang manunuod" Trina said, voicing her thoughts.

"THIS IS THE LAST SEASON, KAYA SIGURO THE CROWD DOUBLED" She said in a shout-whisper voice since the cheers were too loud.

They went in and thankfully people who saw them gave way para makarating sila to where Kath sat. Hindi nakatakas sa kaniya ang tingin ng mga tao, specifically sa jersey na suot niya.

RODRIGUEZ, 07

That was the letters printed at the back of her jersey, well Ethan's jersey to be exact. Girls gave her a jealous look, which she just shrugged off. There's no meaning to it naman kase.

"What took you guys so long? Kanina pa kayo nila hinahanap" Kath said and then looked at where the boys was.

They were warming up. The game will start any minute now kaya sumigaw na kami ni Trina to inform them that were here.

"HEY LION KINGS!" The boys immediately looked at their side with a grin on their faces. She can't help but laugh at how their faces showed too much confidence.

LION is the name of their schools basketball team and true to their name they played like lions in the court. Strong, powerful, fierce and domineering.

The first five of their team are Ethan, Duke, Blue, Zeke and Sage or The LION KINGS as to what their fans call them. These five are my childhood best friends together with Kath and Trina.

She has known them ever since she was still in pre-school and also because they live in the same neighborhood and then they have gotten close since their parents became business partners.

She was cut off by a sound of a buzzer indicating that the game's going to start. Everyone was cheering and if it's even possible mas triple pa ang ingay ng mga tao sa loob. They cheered for their team too.

Lamang ng dalawang puntos ang kabilang team at 10 seconds nalang ay matatapos na. She could say na magaling din ang Wolves, of course they wouldn't be here if they weren't.

The ball was in Dukes hand and he passed it to Ethan, 6 seconds nalang and if Ethan can't shoot it mananalo na ang Wolves.

"ETHAN IF YOU GUYS LOSE PATAY KAYO SAKIN!" She shouted and Ethan looked at her and winked saka niya shinoot.

People gasped and stared at her but she did not mind them. The hell she cares.

Naka three points si Ethan and that was the winning shot. The boys carried Ethan and people ran to the middle, congratulating them.

"YES! PANALO NA NAMAN TAYO. VICTORY PARTYYYYY!" Kath shouted and pulled her and Trina to where the whole team was.
