Jacob's POV

I rushed to the hospital making sure that Emma was okay. I was trying not to get pissed because of the fact that I wasn't with her to protect her. I ran to the front desk to the receptionist.

"Excuse me? I'm looking for Emma Michaelson," I asked frantically, and nervous.

"Down the hall, first door on your left," she said. I thanked her and ran to Emma. I was about to lose it, but I needed to calm down. I found Emma laying in the hospital bed unconscious.

Stacie stood up noticing my appearance.

"She's okay. The doctor said that it might have been because of the heat, but they don't know for sure. They're still running tests. He should be back in a few," Stacie said, sad but holding it together.

"Can I be alone with her? Just for a few minutes, or at least til the doctor comes back," I asked.

She nodded and closed the door behind her. I looked at Emma, even while she was unconscious she still looked beautiful. I didn't know what to do at this point. She was in the hospital because of me.

"I'm so sorry Emma. This would've never happened of I wasn't there with you. Its my fault that you're in here. I love you, and I'm sorry that I wasn't there for you when this happened. I should be the one in the hospital bed not you. I'm so sorry Emma," I said apologetically, and scared.

I was worried that she wouldn't wake up.

Then I heard the door open and a doctor came in," Hi I'm Dr.McCoy. I've ran some test on Emma and she's fine. She felt light headed, and passed out from a headache. I've already gotten her papers signed for her release. So you can take her home when she awakes," Dr.McCoy told me.

I was thankful that she was okay. But I still felt guilty for her being here," Thank you, doctor," I said nodding and he left.

++++++++++

It took about an hour for Emma to awaken. She smiled when she saw me. Stacie left early to run an errand for her mom, but would come and visit her when she comes home.

"How are you feeling?" I asked, worriedly.

She smile reassuring me that she was okay.

"The doctor said I could take you home when you woke up. Do you think you can walk?" I asked, sounding sad.

"Yeah; I'm okay, I'm ready to go home." she replied.

I grabbed her stuff and asked the nurse for a wheelchair just, so Emma could rest while we get to the car.

"I'm glad you're okay Emma. I was worried," I said sheepishly.

"Don't worry, I'm fine Jacob," she said, getting in the car.

She gave me a light, but gentle kiss.

A/N: So yeah Emma ended up in hospital because of a "headache" – quote on quote, not really – I'm going to say the real reason she was in the hospital...yet. But you will soon find out later in the story.

There is a certain twist to this, so hopefully you'll figure this out. Thank you lovely readers.
