*Maya's POV*
"Maya. Maya. My name is maya. I am an 18 year old. My parents don't want me. That's why I'm walking. Right left. Right left." The blow to my head throbbed as I stumbled down the gravel path. My parents had finally been able to kick me out. After 10 years of abuse I was free. I didn't know where I was going, but there was no turning back.
The chilly wind was biting at my nose and ears. I was wearing only my cami and PJ pants. The only possesions I had left were stuffed in my pink duffel. A few hundred dollars I had saved, my ipod, samsung phone, my chargers, and enough clothes to last a week. And of course my One Directions posters. The boys were the only reason I had been able to survive the last 2 years.
The leg of my pants snagged on a fence post. My breath caught. A small red shed was the only thing visible in the night. I ran up to it, picked the lock with a stick and snuck inside. It smelled musty and had gardening supplies as well as towels inside it. I grabbed 4 towels and made a makeshift bed. It will do for a night! I though to myself. It was the last thing I thought before I drifted off to sleep.
