Chapter 8

Maya's POV

Liam breaks away as he hears a motorbike pull into the driveway. He smiles and helps me to my feet. I follow him out the door, down the long stairs, and onto the front steps. I squint as the sun catches my eye. Shading my eyes I look around. I see Lou and El, who is super pretty. I hadn't gotten a good look at her earlier. She is wearing an Ed Sheeran concert T-shirt, black denim shorts, and black sparkly Toms. Suddenly she takes off and hugs another girl, who is also very pretty. "VAL!!!" she yells. This girl, Val, is wearing a tie dye yellow and pink shirt with hot pink shorts, and white converse. She whispers something to El who gasps. I wonder what it is.

Val's POV

El reaches down and grabs two of my duffels. "Come on!" she says cheerfully. "We can't dilly dally if we want to get to the carnival before 6!" She has extra excitement in her voice. Probably because I just told her my news about what happened with Niall! I glance over at him to find him staring at me. Our eyes lock. He smiles and winks! I blush and dash after El. She leads me up some stairs, down a hallway, and into a large room with light green walls. "My room is directly across the hall and Maya's is to the left!" Ellery explains. "Maya?" I say confused. "That pretty new friend of Liam's!" El replies. "I can't wait to get to know her better. She seems so nice!" I answer back. I love meeting new friends! El starts blasting Cher Lloyd from my iPhone and we begin to unpack.

Lou's POV

"El was so fun today!" I text Harry. He replies with a snarky "Yeah yeah Boobear!" He's just jealous that I wouldn't bring him to the carnival. But I was not going to waste my Ellery time to drive to Cheshire and get him! It's his fault he chose the week of the carnival to go visit his mum. Same as Zayn! They'll just have to go some other time.

I look up from my phone to see Niall staring up at Val's new window. I smirk to myself. "You've been hit!!!!" I scream shocking him out of his daydreams. "Oi with what?!" Niall yells back. Taking a deep breath I yell as loud as I can "WITH LOVE SICKNESS!!!" Niall tackles me and tries to cover my mouth. "Shut it!" Niall mutters. I burst out laughing. "So you're in the denial stage huh?" I ask. "The what?" Niall cautiously questions. "The stage where both you and Val are going to pretend you don't like each other and deny the obvious... THAT YOU WERE MADE FOR EACH OTHER!"

"You really think that?" Niall whispers.

"Of course man!" I say back.

I start thinking of when me and El first started liking each other. I met her backstage at a concert and couldn't get enough of her! As we left for our US Tour she was always at the back of my mind. And then when we got back to the UK the boys and I were having a celebration dinner at Nandos and she was there! At the boys persuading I went and talked to her. And asked her to coffee! And it's been a great 6 months from there. I really love her. I just wish I could show her, and take away her insecurities...

Maya's POV

I could hear laughing coming from across the hall. It was obviously Ellery and Valerie. They seem super nice and I'm very excited to get to know them. I walk over to my closet and look it. "Ugh I need a shopping trip!" I mutter to myself. "Shopping sounds like a fun activity for tomorrow!" a cheerful voice says. I turn and find Valerie and Ellery standing in my doorway. I smile shyly. "Oh definitely!" I reply. "So how's about we leave here at 9 am and then go to a Zumba class, then shop, eat lunch at a great cafe I know and them come back?" El asks. "Sounds great!" me and Val both say in unison.

"Hey girls!" Liam says coming into my room. "Glad to see you're getting along!"

"Yes we are Daddy Direction," El says with an innocent laugh on her face. Val and I glance at each other and I see we are both trying not to giggle.

"Well sorry to ruin this humorous situation but Nialler isn't feeling to great so we are skipping out on the carnival tonight," Liam sadly announces.

"AWHH!" We all groan.

"Yes but it sounds like you have something fun planned for tomorrow so get some sleep babes!" Liam kisses Val and El on the head and they walk out to get ready for bed. He comes over to me.

"And now for Daddy Direction's special little girl," he whispers. He gently lifts my head and softly kisses my lips. He then winks and walks out.

I dreamily fall back onto my bed with thoughts whirring in my brain. I slowly drift off to sleep still feeling the kiss on my lips.
