Dean waited for Cas, for days. He paced back and forth in the bunker for hours. Taking a break occasionally to drink. Cas didn't come back for weeks, Dean worried. He hated not knowing anything. His last resort would be to go upstairs and ask around, but he knew that was a terrible idea. After the third week, he gave up. He closed his eyes tightly and made his way upstairs.
Sam threw another punch, knocking into Cas's jaw and blood dripping out. Cas was held down by two demons, Sam smirked as he threw another punch. "Wow, Cas. I thought your grace would be a lot stronger than this."
"Lucifer."
"Hello brother."
"How the hell did you get out?"
"I had a little help. But Sam here didn't think twice about letting me in."
"Let me talk to him."
"I'm afraid not Cas." Lucifer smiled widely at Cas, waving his blood drenched hand to the demons. They began to drag Cas away, "I'll be seeing you again soon, brother." And with that, the angel was cast out.
The angels stared in disgust at Dean. He walked towards them slowly, cursing under his breath as he saw blade after blade being drawn by each of them. "Dean Winchester." one of the angels said, "Why have you come to us?"
"I need help. It's Cas."
"What about Castiel?"
"He's missing, for a while now..I just thought it might take longer since his grace...but.."
"Where was he going?"
"To find my brother. Sam...Sammy."
"We can look but you have to leave now."
"But I want to look too."
"On your own then." A few of them left but most of them stayed until Dean was gone. "I can't believe he would come to us. I mean, he's such a terrible thing-."
"Stop it." Another angel replied. "It's Castiel. Now go." She sighed before leaving herself.
Dean went back to the bunker first. He had a few drinks and then thought about where Sam and Cas may have ended up. He made a short list in his head, repeating it out loud as well. He walked into his room and took the necklace Sam had given to him off his dresser. He smiled down at it before slipping it over his head. Then he was off.
The last stop he was planning on checking was the place Zachariah had taken him. When he had seen Sammy, white suit and Lucifer was riding his ass. Where he had seen himself die and where everyone he had cared about had been killed while being used. He slowly made his way to where it had gone down. But he stopped about halfway, seeing Cas being dragged unconsciously by a couple demons. Dean made his way closer, keeping out of the view of the demons. He pulled the first blade out from his jacket and smirked before cutting through the first ones neck. Deep red blood poured out of the wound, the second one tried to fight back, nailing a single punch into Dean's jaw. He smiled before pushing the knife deeply into his chest, keeping it there for a few seconds before pulling it out and letting him fall to the floor. Cas's eyes were half open and he let out a few small moans. He was bleeding badly and he could barely talk. "Cas. Can you hear me? Cas"
".....Dean...?" He murmured. Dean pulled the angel up onto his feet, draping one arm over his shoulder and quickly going back ot the bunker. He laid Cas out onto his bed, grabbing a few towels from the bathroom and frantically tried to sop up the blood dripping from his wounds.
"I have to go get Sam, Cas. Are you gonna be okay here by yourself?"
"....Dean....it's not Sam...anymore...he's..back..." Cas murmured before blood poured out of his mouth. He began coughing and spiting up more. Dean couldn't leave him but Sam....
"I'll be back soon, Cas."
