(This is the continuing part from my last short story: Brunch at Pops.)

Alice POV:

I can't believe Hermione and Mary did this to me. They practically roped him into taking me out tomorrow morning. They pestered and pestered and pestered him till they got us a date. I mean, I'm not mad about it, actually quite happy, its just weird that its happening.

I rush home from the dinner and text FP.

Alice: "Hi FP, if you want to back out of tomorrow its fine." I patiently wait for a reply and start to clean the kitchen. I was trying to keep busy since for some reason I'm kind of nervous for his reply.

FP: "Hi Al, why would I want to? Do you?"

Alice: "No I don't, but I know the girls kind of forced you into it."

FP: "I was going to ask you anyway, they just made it more awkward..."

Alice: "Oh, okay, yeah they did make it awkward. So where are we going tomorrow?"

FP: "Wouldn't you like to know..."

Alice: "Yes. Thats why I asked. I need to know what to wear."

FP: "You will find out tomorrow, oh and wear something that you like. Not that Northside crap. I mean its nice, but its not you."

I can't help but smile from ear to ear at his response. He knows me so well, it practically kills me.

Alice: "Ok then, something that shows off a little?"

FP: "Shows off a little what..."

Alice: "Wouldn't you like to know Jones."

FP: "Were not gonna start this."

Alice: "Fine. See you tomorrow at 10."

I quickly realize that Betty will be home soon and start making her a snack. I leave it on the kitchen table and walk upstairs. I was planning on wearing something comfortable... but I want to surprise FP. I know its stupid but I do care about how people look at me, the whole Northside act was so than I could be accepted. With FP he knew my ins and outs, literally, so I didn't have to show off. I hear the front door open and quickly run down the stairs.

"Welcome home Betty, I left a snack on the table for you. What do you want for diner?" I say all happy unable to hide the smile that FP left.

"Uh, thanks mom, maybe pasta. What has you all smiley and weird." She says walking into the kitchen. "Oh nothing Betty, just had a good brunch with my friends is all. I'm going to take a shower now. Would you be willing to put a pot on the stove for later?" I say. "Sure mom..." Betty says all weirded out by me.

I quickly go back upstairs and turn on the shower. I'm about to get dressed when I see my phone go off in the corner. I walk over and pick up, the caller ID is not there so maybe its a telemarketer?

"Hello?" I ask

"Hi Alice, its FP. Jug just came into the diner and said that he and Betty are going out for the day, maybe we can cook in?" He asks. I know exactly what this means, he wants to you know... But without asking I reply. "Yeah sure, my place or yours?" "My place, if thats ok?" He says. "Yeah thats fine I will come to your place at ten." I say excitedly. God now I'm like the teenager all giddy about a boy.

I hop in the shower and the rest of my day goes on. I make dinner for Betty and I and I help her with her articles. She can clearly tell that I'm hiding something, I'm so overly giddy about tomorrow, my cheeks hurt from smiling so much. "Ok mom, whats going on. You are never this happy." She says. "I told you, I just had a really good day." I say trying to hide every emotion possible. Betty Cooper will investigate everything, including my mood.
