"Let her go" Jack screams.

"Absolutely not. She is mine, I got her fair and square," said Luke, the guy I'm so very close to. As the leader of the gang, he has to keep an authoritative air about him, and he does a good job. It's a little scary, actually.

"Jack, don't do this," I say quietly, in almost a whisper.

"Caroline, they kidnapped you. How can you be so calm about this?" Jack yells. As my older brother, he sure does a terrible job of understanding the situation.

What he doesn't know is that I ran away. I was just so sick of my mother constantly on back to be "simply flawless." Dad wrote some books on psychology that have sold really well. Since then he's gone on shows and made "psychological discoveries." Blah, blah, blah. Mom is constantly keeping the Branson family name in good lights. So my brother and I never got much love growing up. We were always kept busy with classes and ettiquet. Fun fact about me, I HATE dresses. So that lifestyle didn't sit well with me.

Something else my brother doesn't know is that the people who "kidnapped me" actually took me in off the streets and are now like my family. Some are, at least. He also doesn't know I'm a criminal.

"Who is Caroline?" Luke asks, glancing down at me, his arms wrapped around my waist. When I came here, I wanted my old life forgotten, so none of them know my real name.

"What do you mean 'Who is Caroline?' She is the girl you kidnapped, the girl you're getting a little to close too." Once an overprotective brother, always an overprotective brother.

"I didn't kidnap no one." Luke leans around me to yell in Jack's face.

"Luke, don't, please! He's still my brother. That hasn't changed and you know it." I beg, severely hopping he doesn't hurt Jack.

He leans down to whisper in my ear.
"Okay, Ash. But only because it's you who asked me." He brushes his lips against my ear, leaving a tingling trail of kisses down my neck. I wish I could tear his fingers off one by one and feed them to a python.

"Thank you," I mumble softly. Letting him imagine... he has this thing for me, it's rather disturbing. He's more than a little possessive, and doesn't know how to take a hint.

"What the hell is happening?" Jack asks, still yelling, getting angry as he becomes more confused.

"Jack, I'm sorry! I'm... I. I can't, can't tell him," I stutter, my shoulders sagging.

"Hey, babe, It's okay. It's gonna be alright." Luke lays his left hand on my shoulder, the right one sliding up my shirt ever so slightly.

"Get your hands off of my sister!" Once again Jack raises his voice too loud.

We heard footsteps above, and saw Arrow emerge from his room.
"I thought people slept at 3 in the morning. What's happening down there?"

"Nothing. Just get your ass back in bed!" Luke yells, but apparently everyone else heard. Because everybody came out of their rooms. Blade, Cliff, Comet, Wasp, Crawler, Cross, Forge, Hacker, Gator, Viper, Hex, Saber, Spear, Colt, Heeler, Raptor, Copper, Snake, and Raven. (E/N: don't try to remember that list, it'll come to you in time.)

"Ash, who is that?" asks Arrow. He slides down the ladder, and runs towards me.

"He's my brother!" I stutter, breaking away from Luke's grip. Arrow grabs  me, and I lean into his chest. He holds one arm around me protectively.
