|| Her Confession. His Rejection ||

"Sunbaenim, I have something to confess: I... I really like you. Please accept these." Ki Heehyun plucked up all of her courage for today, Valentine Day. She spent the whole morning till noon making chocolate and preparing sincere gifts for him, hoping he would accept it.

"I'm really thankful for all these. But I just see you as a junior, no more, no less. I'm sorry." Zico apologized and walked away. What could he say? What could he do? When the definition of love in him was Seolhyun. They were no longer together. And he just couldn't get her out of his mind.

Heehyun smiled bitterly. She should've known his rejection. She knew him better than anyone else. She knew Seolhyun's image was too deep to be replaced. What was she expecting. Feeling rather disappointed, she threw all her handmade gifts into the trash, not bother looking back.

Their Valentine Day passed meaninglessly. One was in pain while the other one was in nostalgia. Neither of them were happy. Neither of them enjoyed the lovely day.

Heehyun came back to her dorm. She locked herself in her room and cried her heart out. She didn't know it would hurt that bad.

"Heehyunie, it's gonna be ok." Chaeyeon comeforted her.

On the other hand, Zico wasn't any better. He lied in his bed with his blanket covering all the way over his head, holding Seolhyun's polaroid in his hand. Her smile was as bright as ever. Her eyes were sparkling with happiness. That smile just reared him up apart. That happiness just stabbed his heart deeper.

"Yah, when are you going to get over her?" Jaehyo took the blanket off frustratedly. He hated seeing Zico like this, always grieving, always in pain. "When you're here thinking about her, she's out there having fun with another man."

Jaehyo showed Zico a picture of Seolhyun dining out with her co-actor in her recent drama. They looked happy, indeed. So happy that Zico couldn't believe Seolhyun's gaze could be that warm toward someone else that wasn't him. Or even warmer.

"She's beautiful." Zico remarked.
